Trust Officer, you will manage existing and newly referred estate,and agency accounts of varying complexity. You will thrive building andtrusted relationships with clients,and co-trustees.


In addition, you will:

-Build andrelationships with clients,and co-trustees, with responsibility for client profiling toneeds and manage sales and referrals

-Create anda comprehensive advice plan for clients with complex needs andthe requisite skills to advise in niche areas where appropriate.

and the economic and legal/regulatory environment, particularly as it affects the industry and applies to Private Trust clients

-Exercise care, judgment and discretion involving a range of account management needs including tax, investment, administrativeand partner documentation

-Stay ahead of emerging issues, trends and evolving regulatory requirements;

Job Requirements:

Undergraduate degree with over 5 years of industry experience

Working towards completion of Canadian Securities Course (CSC)

Working towards fulfillment of Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) designation is an asset

Professional designations such as MBA, CA, LLB, CFA (or other) desirable

Description:

Job Description

Assigned as a market or industry level resource, the Commercial Credit Officer (CCO) is a highly skilled resource, providing expert level advisory guidance in the most complex, integrated debt capital solutions. Guidelines for assignment of CCOs include specific criteria and is made at the discretion of the Commercial Credit Manager (CCM) in consultation with the Market Executive (ME). This role serves as Line/Credit approver in conjunction with Risk management based on credit approval grid and drives the internal credit approval process, loan documentation and closing. This role reports to the Commercial Credit Manager (CCM) and will be aligned to 1-3 Commercial Underwriters (CU), serving as a mentor/coach.

Requirements

The Commercial Credit Officer is responsible for:

  • Provide expert level guidance and advice to assigned prospects and clients on debt products and capital structure in collaboration with subject matter experts in various different groups including Relationship Management, Investment Banking, Leveraged Finance, etc.
  • Underwriting and structuring of complex credit transactions with minimal oversight
  • Delivering financial, industry, economic and other analysis to facilitate decision making, while also ensuring adherence to credit policies, guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Involvement with monitoring activities/approvals
  • Maintaining knowledge of other BofA products including Investment Banking and Treasury Management that have credit exposure, and leveraging product expertise to deliver the best possible and optimally integrated strategic solution for the client or prospect
  • Responsible for reviewing & negotiating loan documentation
  • Balancing analysis of clients and prospects and their industries, design and execution of credit solutions, and the active management of asset quality
  • Client facing, the CCO collaborates with the Client Manager (CM), Treasury Solutions Officer (TSO), and other product partners, when needed, to assess client needs, design integrated solutions and deliver the bank to clients and prospects

Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree
  • Post graduate degree (CPA, CFA, MBA, etc.)
  • 12+ years of solid experience in financial analysis, structuring, underwriting and portfolio management.
  • Strong communication and analytical/technical skills, including financial accounting, modeling and loan structuring
  • Responsible for reviewing & negotiating loan documentation
  • Candidates must have Commercial Banking or Corporate Banking credit experience
  • Excellent organization skills and ability to prioritize workload from diverse sources
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting associated deadlines
  • Ability to clearly and convincingly articulate complex ideas and concepts
  • Ability to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, MS Excel and MS Word with experience in presentations writing and client analysis
