This job within the GPS Sales organization, will support one or more Treasury Sales Officers (TSOs) in managing sales and administrative tasks associated with assigned portfolio’s across our Financial Institutions sector. The successful candidate will be detailed orientated, proactive and have a growth mindset in ensuring we are delivering against key Sales KPI’s. Key responsibilities include supporting all activities from sale through implementation and coordinating the Client Management Process (CMP) by focusing on client acquisition and deepening existing relationships. Job expectations include partnering with product specialists and service partners by making recommendations and creating customized treasury solutions that meet client needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with coordinating the Client Management Process (CMP), including client planning, client calling efforts, client team meeting preparation, delivery, and follow-up, and revenue and pathway tracking

  • Conducts industry, client, and prospect research to develop strategies and create proposals and pitchbooks for pre-call planning

  • Completes price and cost benefit analysis models to develop pricing strategies, which includes working with the Treasury Sales Officer on non-standard pricing

  • Partners with Product Specialists and support partners to develop strategies to grow revenue and deepen existing relationships

  • Supports clients through the implementation, client onboarding, and training activities

  • Ensures the accuracy of sales data including managing sales pathways, call reporting, and profitability reporting

  • Participates in in-person calling activities and ad-hoc direct sales opportunities with Treasury Sales Officers

  • Working with the global FX & rates strategy teams and local macroeconomic research your role will involve detailed analysis of the Australian and New Zealand FX, rates and bond markets, and presentation of views and ideas to support the activity of clients and internal stakeholders.
  • In the role you will contribute to high frequency coverage and ad hoc publications to provide unique insights into markets and policy developments.
  • Be able to contribute to writing thematic research and generating trade recommendations to support the local business and gain exposure to clients.
  • The role will also involve maintaining and developing databases / models, updating forecasts and providing analysis for regularly published research and client requests.
  • Collaboration with the global FX & rates strategy team to ensure the relevance of local research for a global audience and explain where global trends might impact local markets.

Requirements:

  • A minimum 3 years relevant experience.
  • Advanced communication skills, including the ability to produce persuasive, high quality written reports efficiently and frequently.
  • Demonstrated ability to write evidence-based reports and produce marketable trade recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to present clearly and to engage a wide range of audiences, including senior policymakers, institutional investors and corporate leaders.
  • A good understanding of the working of the FX, money, bonds, swaps & bond futures markets based on a detailed understanding of monetary and fiscal policies.
  • Experience of presenting to AU market participants and willing to promote your ideas to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Creative Thinking: curiosity is essential, including the ability to generate new ideas and possibilities, and see markets from a novel perspective.

We require an Analyst to join the market leading Infrastructure & Utilities team as it continues to grow.

Duties include

  • Ability to operate as project / deal team lead, driving the work product and transaction processes
  • Participate in the execution of equity and debt financing and M&A transactions
  • Perform in-depth financial, valuation, product and industry analysis, and due diligence
  • Prepare pitch books, client presentations and help create live deal materials
  • Build financial / three-statement operating/ leveraged buyout models
  • Attend client meetings as you build your network and experience
  • Help to generate ideas and opportunities for new and existing clients
  • Learn from, and work with, teams consisting of professionals drawn from across the business, including senior bankers within your group, experts in other areas of the firm and colleagues from around the globe

Requirements

The Snr Associate will manage a portfolio of large corporate and financial institutions clients and are responsible for structuring, underwriting, negotiating, and monitoring financing solutions for their clients associated with syndicated loans, bridge financings, hedging, leasing, and treasury management products. The GCIB Australia portfolio consists of large multinational companies in sectors such as Airlines, Building Products, Construction & Engineering, Commercial Services, Energy, Healthcare, Infrastructure, Real Estate and Transportation in addition to Financial Institutions and select Private Equity investments. Credits in the portfolio are principally underwritten on a cash flow basis with a mix of investment grade and non-investment grade transactions. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Structuring, underwriting, negotiating, documenting, and managing credit risk associated with all banking products for a designated client portfolio.
  • Identifying opportunities to responsibly grow the loan portfolio.
  • Mitigating losses in deteriorating credits through amendments and restructurings.
  • Leading internal discussions and completing credit approval memorandums that summarize the merits and risks of a transaction based on due diligence findings, financial statement analysis, financial forecasting, assessments of terms and conditions, analysis of company and industry risks, and relationship profitability.
  • Negotiating legal documentation related to loans and derivatives.
  • Interfacing with internal control partners and external regulators.
  • Training and mentoring Credit Analysts and Associates.

Required Skills

  • 7 years’ experience in commercial and / or corporate lending environment, with understanding of loans, trading & treasury products.
  • Strong credit risk analysis and conclusion-oriented analytical skills with ability to manage complex transactions.
  • Must be able to independently lead diligence efforts, make approval recommendations, negotiate loan documentation, and execute timely closings.
  • Able to soundly manage the portfolio and justify rationale for recommended transactions.
  • Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with all levels of risk, support, and business partners.
