About the Job:

The Lead Cybersecurity is a development position, scope of work includes participating in scrum team ceremonies, reviewing, and approving software requirements, solutions, estimating LOE, writing code, testing & reviewing code before delivering completed assignments. Individual must prove competency with writing secure code, following clean code practices, as well as being proficient with use of developer tooling and platforms. POSITION: Lead-Cybersecurity

DUTIES: Responsible for testing proof of concepts and supporting various cyber-related projects. Analyze complex security issues, developments, and engineering activities to help mitigate risk. Analyze hardware and software solutions, identifying modifications to fit cybersecurity needs, and developing policies and procedures to minimize network intrusion, malware events, and vulnerability issues for internal and external customers. Apply measures to block malicious code and applications. Provide cyber incident responses and cyber operational support, as well as perform tasks such as cyber product testing, cybersecurity application testing, cyber risk and strategic analysis, cyber application development and testing, cyber iot planning and testing, and cyber research. Complete tasks related to cyber awareness and training, cyber vulnerability detection and assessments, cyber intelligence and investigation, and cyber application development and testing. Install, configure, and troubleshoot IBM Security Directory Server (SDS) and IBM DB2 database tables and indexes according to application requirements. Set up multi-way replication of the IBM SDS application between multiple data centers in an active/active configuration with global load balancers to enhance platform resiliency and availability. Use scripting and tools like DMC, TOAD, TAPM, Splunk, and Nagios to monitor and troubleshoot issues related to performance and availability of the platform. Plan and execute database backup and recovery, provide database tuning for performance and stability, and create logical models from business models by incorporating business rules. Involve upgrading SDS, DB2 databases, and maintaining and upgrading replication agreements and certificates. Remediate vulnerabilities within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) that are identified by the audit team, while maintaining strict access control. Participate in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) of products before moving applications to production. Utilize highly available cybersecurity platforms using ISVA, LDAP, Tomcat, DB2, and Oracle components.   • Data Analysis and Interpretation : Gather, analyze, and interpret diverse data sets to solve a variety of business problems, predict behaviors, and identify causal relationships, trigger points, and predictions. Well-versed with Relational (e.g., Oracle or MySQL) and/or Data Warehouse data storage (e.g., Snowflake or Databricks Delta Lake). Data sources including but not limited to internal and external sources, datalakes, data warehouses such as eCDW, BIDW, etc.
  • Statistical Methods and Decision Support : Apply a range of advanced statistical methods to quantify data variances and use traditional modeling techniques to support decision-making. Most common tools are Tableau, Palantir, PowerBI (AI Insights), Databricks, AWS Azure, Synapse, H2O Driverless AI, etc.
  • Business Case Development and Analytics Tools: Develop business cases and create complex models utilizing big data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI AI Insights, Databricks) for modeling and process integration, and to make recommendations for improvements to processes, financials, business models, etc. Build and test predictive models on various data samples and verify their accuracy in real-world scenarios (e.g., Linear/Logistic Regression, Time Series).

Education/Experience:Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired from an accredited University in a Quantitative field of study such as Data Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering or Physics. 5+ years of related experience. Certification is required in some areas.

About the Job:

The Lead Cybersecurity is a development position, scope of work includes participating in scrum team ceremonies, reviewing, and approving software requirements, solutions, estimating LOE, writing code, testing & reviewing code before delivering completed assignments. Individual must prove competency with writing secure code, following clean code practices, as well as being proficient with use of developer tooling and platforms. In addition to writing code for assigned stories, this role includes prepare and provide necessary documentation and responses during audit processes, ,client and production tier 3 support tasks, assisting with trouble shooting issues and being available to quickly mitigate security issues (including prompt resolution of any bug bounty tickets, addressing exploits occurring in the application environments). This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Write code for IT systems involved with IAM and UAM solutions.

  • Includes ideation, testing, proof of concept and support for various cyber related projects.

  • Prepare and provide necessary documentation and responses during audit processes.

  • Analysis, of complex security issues and the development and engineering activities to help mitigate risk.

  • Analyzes various hardware and/or software solutions recommending purchases and identifying modifications to fit AT&Ts cyber security needs and that of our managed services teams.

  • Develops policies and procedures to minimize network intrusion, malware events and vulnerability issues for internal and external customers.

  • Applies measures to block malicious code and applications. Includes forward looking research, planning and strategy to strengthen our stance against future cyber security threats, and enhance our mitigation techniques and technology solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Engineering, or Cyber Security.

  • Requires 5-8 years of related experience.

  • Requires knowledge of Java 17, Spring boot 3.x+, Spring JDBC Template, log4j, JUnit, Oracle DB, GITHUB, JFROG, JSON, Tomcat, Apache andAngular

  • Strong scripting knowledge.

  • Knowledge in implementing the File Integrity Monitoring (FIM) process, experience with enterprise Identity Lifecycle Management, and proficiency in Java, Spring Framework, Python, and Apache server are advantageous.

  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity risks and controls for applications.

  • Requires Daily Office Presence (3-5 days a week). No relocation assistance is provided.
