As an Sr. Specialist RAN Engineering, you will be responsible for applying radio frequency (RF) principles to assist our team with building a better network.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Designs, plans and oversees installation, maintenance, and optimization, and/or performance of wireless radio access network communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition and ancillary equipment.

  • May include engineering, design, development, test, implementation, maintenance, RF optimization, capacity management, performance management, encryption, and/or troubleshooting of satellite networks and Teleports, including underlying routing.

  • May include GIS (Geographic Information Systems) performance analysis & drive testing.

  • Analyzes Radio Access Network (RAN) data to recommend optimal changes to RAN network to improve all key indexes and performance indicators.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or another STEM related field or equivalent experience.

  • Shall be knowledgeable of the guidelines provided by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), DoD 5000 series, and ICD 801 policies.
