You will need to have architecture and software development skills, in addition to being able to think creatively. In this role you can expect to be a technical lead where your ideas will make a difference and enable you to make your mark delivering industry leading GPU IP.

Your job responsibilities will be diverse and may include architecture, technology research, hands-on prototyping and experimental investigations, participating in key industry consortium's, engaging with product groups, working closely together with the engineering team, and taking part in partner and customer engagements.

Responsibilities:

This exciting position, will offer you the opportunity to work on the newest technology in a collaborative environment to:

  • Work with cross-disciplinary teams to understand system level architectural trade-offs and define our next generation GPU system architecture, including system level hardware and software.
  • Investigate GPU system level optimizations with specific focus on memory system and control fabric performance, power management, virtualization and security.
  • Track industry GPU system architecture trends, find opportunities to improve the product development and assemble the requirements.
  • Perform high level performance modeling and analysis of graphics hardware features, applications, benchmarks and games.
  • Develop and improve tools for architectural exploration and performance analysis.
  • Collaborate with the Arm engineering team to see your ideas delivered into products.
Required Skills and Experience :
  • BSEE or BSCS required. MS/PhD in EE or CS preferred.
  • Minimum 18+ years Graphics and Processor experiences in GPU/SoC system design and architecture or equivalent required.
  • Detailed knowledge of GPU system level design in the areas of performance, power management, virtualization and security.
  • A deep experience and background in Computer Graphics and GPU architecture.
  • A strong history of thinking creatively and communicating effectively in a distributed team environment, with a practical, organized and analytical approach to work.
  • You have an ability to quantify and make trade-offs between power, performance and area appropriately to meet the requirements of the product.
  • You have a strong programming ability: C, C++, scripting

Job Overview:

Your contributions will enable the development of architectures, such as remote and secure management tools that help IT better manage their PC fleet, reduce overall maintenance and administrative costs, and remotely discover, repair, upgrade and protect networked assets. You will evaluate and develop new concepts and technologies, deploy them internally within Arm, and assist Arm partners in embracing them.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop the system architecture for Arm-based AI PCs to remotely and securely manage these devices,
  • Understand system capability gaps and propose architectural solutions. Prototype and demonstrate viability of proposed mechanisms in the latest generations of Arm systems.
  • Design and perform experiments and analysis to answer architectural questions, and use/modify software on silicon, simulators, models, profilers, and other methods and tools that are vital to implement the analysis.
  • Document and communicate architectural concepts and results clearly and credibly across both internal and external audiences, ranging from individual hardware or software development engineers, to architecture community peers, and high level technology and business leadership.
  • Plan and collaborate with external partners, including OEMs, ODMs, OSVs, IHVs, IFVs, EC and TPM vendors, as well as other groups inside Arm, to gain consensus and successful landing of proposed architecture.
  • Create and/or maintain Arm standard specifications.
Required Skills and Experience :
  • An excellent communicator! Sharing the progress of tasks, and seeking feedback from your colleagues is how you work.
  • Comfortable coping with uncertainty & resolving ambiguity, as you will be setting the direction
  • Able to navigate and make high-level design trade-offs, and document and articulate those statements and their rationale for to internal and external senior audiences.
