Job Overview:

This internship will provide you with hands-on experience across QA, DevOps, AI tooling, and software engineering. You will be encouraged to explore new technologies, and take initiative while learning from experienced mentors in both infrastructure and AI domains.

What could you be doing as an ML-EDA DevOps Intern?
  • Work collaboratively across teams to integrate and evaluate machine learning-based EDA tooling within Arm’s internal infrastructure.
  • Engage with internal partners to understand their workflows, challenges, and use cases for AI-enhanced solutions.
  • Assist in the design, validation, and measurement of tool effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Gain exposure to infrastructure development, MLOps, and DevOps best practices in a real-world semiconductor engineering environment.

Project specifics will be discussed during the interview to match your interests and skills.

We’ll support you with:
  • Dedicated mentoring and technical guidance.
  • A collaborative team environment across disciplines.
  • Opportunities to learn and grow in fields such as machine learning, DevOps, software infrastructure, and data engineering.

Are currently pursuing a Master’s degree (BAC+5 or equivalent) in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field, and are available for a 5–6 month internship. Preferred candidates will have:

  • Programming experience in Python, C++, or a similar language.
  • Familiarity with UNIX-based systems and shell scripting.
  • Interest in machine learning, DevOps, or data science applications in engineering environments.
  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English (written and spoken).
Qualities that will help your application stand out:
  • Exposure to tools such as Git, Docker, or Jenkins.
  • Experience working on collaborative or open-source projects.
  • Curiosity about MLOps and scalable ML systems.

As a member of the TASC team (Tooling, Automation and Services for Cloud), you will have the chance to grow your knowledge and expertise. You will contribute to Arm technology deployed in the next generation of AI, IoT, Automotive and Infrastructure, enabling the safe execution of complex workload scenarios.

Responsibilities:

If you are looking for a unique opportunity to drive CI/CD & QA efforts for a team that is transforming the EDA tooling in Arm, we would love to hear from you!Your day-to-day activities will include:

  • Analyse users requirements, break down tasks, and help implement projects for a constant evolution of our CI/CD infrastructure.
  • Select tools and testing frameworks and guide on best software test practices.
  • Drive test automation by implementing and maintaining complex CI/CD workflows.
  • Participate in the debug & test of the software on various platforms including private cluster and HTC cloud (GCP, AWS, ...).
  • Deliver/maintain QA hosting, Software Security including obsolescence handling for each below flow (see attached slide 13):

    o Front End

    o DFT

    o MRS

    o Back end

  • Collaborate with each flow owner to establish test plans of their flow.

  • Liaise with EDA vendors to qualify their tools.


Required Skills and Experience :

  • Proficiency in deploying a variety of testing and automation tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of applications running on Linux with extensive experience in platform or system validation.
  • Skilled in tracking and reporting key testing metrics to ensure quality and performance, and experience in defect management.
  • Ability to debug and solve software issues effectively.


“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

  • Experience with Security Development Lifecycle (SDL/SWSS) practices.
  • Experience in software development, in tests development and test planning.
  • Experience with Python, python applications dependencies, cross-platform delivery challenges.
  • Knowledgeable hardware verification, RTL simulation and formal verification.
