Key Responsibilities
Manage the activities of sales professionals and/or managers to achieve the sales objectives for a strategic account and/or a group of accounts within assignedterritory(ies).
Oversees all strategic account plans and objective planning for both account-specific plans and product-specific plans. Plans, coordinates, prepares standards of presentations, and conducts periodic account status reviews with the account/regional sales leader as appropriate.
Manages sales objectives, submission of calculations, supporting data and reviews quarterly data with account sales leader for their approvals.
Ensures effective management of the department’s human resources, including staffing, performance management and evaluation, career guidance, compensation and other human resource issues.
Manages expenses for sales department under his or her control within guidelines and departmental budget.

What We Offer
This person is responsible for overseeing the CN ECCN and HS classification results and end to end - this includes ECCN and HS classification and the gathering and reporting of related HS elements. This person will oversee the results produced by the classification supplier. In addition, this person will provide management oversight of the end process ensuring classification related data elements are provided in a timely fashion and Applied’s IP protection protocols are followed.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years’ experience managing China trade compliance for a multi-national corporation.
Minimum 3 years’ experience on CN HS classification for mechanical and electrical products isrequired.
Must have strong English and Chinese speaking and writing skills.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Engineering, chemical or similar technical field is preferred.
Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing products is preferred.
Experience with import/ export customs operations and communicated with Customs officials is preferred.
Experience with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required. Experience with SAP, Visio, and MS Project is preferred.
Also required to be successful:
Ability to work with other departments and government officials to resolve classification related issues.
Ability to work well with people at different levels required.
Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
Self-motivated, result-oriented, and able to work independently.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced compliance attorney to help implement and sustain Applied Materials’ compliance programs within China and Taiwan. The Regional Compliance Officer serves as a senior compliance leader and ambassador in the region and ensures the successful regional implementation of global compliance initiatives. You will be responsible for compliance counseling, programming, investigation, and reporting in the areas of ethics and integrity, conflicts of interest, anti-bribery and anti-corruption, fraud prevention, and third-party risk management. As a trusted advisor to regional business and functional leaders, the Regional Compliance Officer also drives regionally designed compliance activity and enables productive communication and engagement between the region and global compliance leaders. This is an on-site role based in Shanghai and reporting to the US-based Senior Director, Ethics & Compliance.
