Assists in planning the daily work schedule within assigned territory to ensure completion of Preventive Maintenance and remedial maintenance.
Uses escalation policies as required to keep management informed of down situations.
Verifies and approves the operational quality of system equipment. Performs daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, biannual, and annual periodic maintenance on systems within established time frames. Also performs wet cleans as required. Instructs customers in the operation and maintenance of systems. Troubleshoots and corrects process variations on systems partially with assistance from senior engineers.
Performs start-up, warranty, paid service, and service contract activities. Performs TIER II start-ups within established time frames. Assists on TIER III start-ups. Provides technical assistance to less experienced Applied personnel. Uses training and experience to identify some process related system problems.
Develops and implements plans to increase productivity. Tracks equipment performance and plan uptime improvement. Has a working knowledge of Statistical Process Control. Utilises Quality Improvement Process methods and terminology.
Plans and executes support activities on a wide range of Applied Materials' systems. May need technical assistance in performance of daily responsibilities.

Performs electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair. Identifies and corrects errors.
Observes all safety standards. Maintains a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment. Details finished work. Receives parts and performs audits to ensure all necessary parts are available to perform built, test and repair. Inspects parts for defects. Troubleshoots and improves processes.
Requirements

Must be able to work in a cleanroom environment
Ability to follow standard operation procedures (written and verbal)
Knowledge of basic hand tools
Must be open to Mon - Fri work week (4pm - 1.30am shift). Transport and shift allowance provided.

Key Responsibilities
Creates and monitors metrics to better understand discrepant material trends.
Investigates data trends for actions and projects to reduce manufacturing generated discrepant material and scrap.
Assign discrepant material reduction tasks and projects to personnel outside the Quality organization and track assignments to completion.
Facilitate meetings to receive updates on tasks and projects.
Provide training as necessary to Operations personnel.
In a few cases, may need to develop and implement operational sequence and processes in the fabrication of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies and lead manufacturing engineering related projects as required.
Interfaces with other engineering functions to ensure new product has implemented changes which mitigate the risk of discrepant material being generated.
Determines root cause analysis for issues that arise during assembly and/or test of systems; drives correction actions; provides failure analysis report as required.
Uses lean six sigma methodology to drive continuous improvement projects.
Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineers to minimize supplier caused Quality non-conformances
Quick engagement with Supplier Quality Engineers to manage responsiveness of suppliers to Mfg. issues with a focus on keeping manufacturing operational.
Engagement on stock purges or containments in manufacturing while working with the Manufacturing Engineers to assess the product and prevent a line down
Follow up with Supplier Quality Engineers and keep Manufacturing abreast of progress
Evaluates work methods, procedures, and policies. Develops and maintains new business processes; edits as necessary to ensure current practices are documented.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Science or other relevant qualifications.
At least 3 years of quality engineering experiences preferably in manufacturing or semiconductor industry
Professional qualifications in Quality will be an added advantage.
Proficiency in quality analysis tools and statistical software (e.g., Minitab).
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles (Green Belt preferred).
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment across different time zones.

Responsibilities:
Assisting engineer to work on developing process technology for advanced semiconductor processes
Responsible for performing basic recipe and CH troubleshooting during process runs and implement changes based on directions from the engineer
Owner for the execution of module process, data collection for measurement & inspection and sharing of data with the engineer
Interact with internal and external CH and metrology tool owners to align for tool time, execute process sequence and collect data to feedback to engineer
Occasional over-time to support process engineering support activities
Requirements:
ITE/ Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Materials Science) or related field.
> 3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or R&D environment preferred.
Familiarity with cleanroom operations and semiconductor processing equipment is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
Basic understanding of process control and data analysis.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Must be able to commit Monday - Friday rotating shift (9am - 6pm/ 4pm - 11pm).
