Key Responsibilities

Quotes materials; procures materials, components, equipment and services at the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need. Expedites and ensures the timely receipt of materials.

Coordinates/drives purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. Leads problem resolution for material related accounting and receiving issues.

Reviews MRP on a regular basis. Executes and cancels pull ins, push outs and planned orders as prioritized. Identifies issues and escalates as necessary to materials management. Reviews and ensures actions per disposition of ECOs on a world wide basis.

Maintains inventory levels per plan and performs E&Z analysis. Minimizes excess and zero demand inventory. Provides input to management regarding action plans to address long term issues.

Pulls and reads part specifications and engineering drawings. Utilizes knowledge of material types to communicate with engineers and suppliers. Provides feedback to engineering for cost reduction efforts.

Interacts with customers, company sales and /or service representatives to handle a variety of pre-sales support functions. Provides application and technical assistance and advice to sales force to support the sale and implementation of Applied Materials’ products and services. Application expert, capable of executing on site and in-house high level application activities Typically required to apply software, algorithms, and physics skills to support specialized and/or complex requirements during product implementation and consulting services. Functional Knowledge

• Creates, plans, and performs a variety of software analysis, design, development, code, code review, documentation, integration, test and product assurance tasks.
• Contributes to the development of engineering design models and develops programs to enhance, implement and support project/system functionality for the assigned technical effort
• Participate in the devising of project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing and ongoing support of applications
• Revise and refine systems as required.
• Ensures technical outcomes are consistent with established engineering principles and practices and that customer and company technical, system, performance, and quality requirements are met.
• Must be able to apply SDLC concepts and have a proven track record of delivering solid, robust applications.
