• As a seasoned Software Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing & deploying scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions.
• Lead the design and implementation of complex software components and systems.
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams , including software engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and translate them intoarchitectural/softwaredesigns that meet business needs .
• Foster a collaborative environment by working closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and alignment on project goals .
• Demonstrate strong leadership skills by mentoring and guiding team members, promoting best practices, and driving the technical vision for the organization.
• You will be coding and developing quick prototypes to establish your design with real code and data.
• You will be a Subject Matter Expert to unblock software engineers.
• Conduct Technical Reviews and provide guidance to software engineers during the development process.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and issues throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Proactively identify, prioritize, and address technical debt to ensure the long-term maintainability and scalability of software systems.
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and frameworks to meet project requirements.
• Willing to travel to onsite locations for Business meetings, Customer Interactions.

• 12-18 years of experience in software development with a B. Tech / MTech in Computer Science.
• Proven experience as a Software Architect or similar role with 10+ years in product development.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in Core Java & advanced features, including streams, functional programming, and virtual threads.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in driving/contributing towards high-level and low-level design, code reviews, and coding practices (such as clean code and SOLID principles).
• Minimum 4+ years of experience in building and driving various architectural patterns, like microservices-based architecture or large-scale systems, distributed applications, web or desktop applications.
• Strong skills in algorithms and data structures.
• Experience in workflow frameworks such as Temporal, Apache Airflow, etc.
• Experience in various technologies, like below:
  • Orchestration (Kubernetes), Containerization (Dockers), and CI/CD pipelines
  • Workflow frameworks like Temporal, Apache Airflow, etc
  • Databases (NoSQL, and SQL)
  • Messaging infrastructure like Kafka, Redis, etc
  • Spring-boot and associated Spring features for backend development
  • GUI development, like React/Redux, etc

• Good knowledge of the Semiconductor domain.
• Experience with scikit-image, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
• Experience in designing, prototyping, implementing, and testing software and computer vision machine learning algorithms in Python.
• Experience with Deep Learning, Generative AI and LLM concepts

Role Responsibilities:

• Design and develop code for complex software solutions for semiconductor equipment components and devices
• Develop software documentation and test procedures
• Troubleshoot a variety of difficult software problems. Design and implement bug fixes
• Define software specifications and test plans for simulators, test benches or the lab
• Communicate with internal and external customers for requirement analysis, project schedule and software troubleshooting

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, computer science, information management, software/system engineering, cyber security or mathematics
• 4–7 years of related experience
• Proficiency and experience in Java, Operating Systems, Networking principles, Algorithms, Multi-threading, RPC

Preferred Qualifications:

• Engineering Degree in a related field
• Strong knowledge of industry best practices, key business drivers, and how your area of expertise integrates with others

About Applied

As a Tech lead your primary responsibility will be to participate in the creation of new products and enhancements to existing products from concept to launch as part of a cross functional team. In this role you will utilize your experience to provide Software solutions which involves System understanding of the Product. You will also be required to work with various interfaces to ensure the completeness of the solution.

• Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
• Design & code a variety of complex software features with adequate documentation
• Write automation for new/existing features.
• Customer Support & troubleshoot/fix a variety of difficult software problems.
• Proactively communicate on development status & delays in agreed upon timelines
• Interface with global teams for requirements analysis and schedule.
• Interface with external customers regarding software issues.
• Be willing to travel to onsite locations for Short Term Assignments like Feature Integrations & Version Installations.

Qualification and Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree / master’s degree in engineering with ComputerScience/Electronics/Electricalbackground and 7-11 years of experience
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in software development with exposure to maintenance, continuous integration & releases
• Minimum of 4 years experience in core product software development
• Strong Object Oriented Design & Programming Experience
• Professional experience of Core Java Technologies (DesignPattern/Multi-threading/DataStructures/Algorithm)
• Exposure to Agile methodologies and tool chain (like JIRA)
• Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as partner with multiple sub-orgs within function, BU or smaller country

• Oversees support services to GIS customers for IT Infrastructure function. Adheres to service management processes and procedures to meet customer service level agreements and maintain customer satisfaction.

• Handling complex Incidents and outages which are escalated from other team members and responsible for executing critical changes as per standard operating procedures and change managementpolicies. Representsas technical subject matter expert.

• Completes root cause analysis of outages or incident trends. Approves preventative actions.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the HR business requirements and design innovative technology solutions.
• Design, configure and implement end to end HR technology solutions, identifying and closing gaps in processes and dependencies and transforming the technology landscape
• Partner with HR SMEs and HRIT team members to build and document workflows and procedures for our systems.
• Assess out of the box functionality against business requirements and determine best solutions to meet requirements
• Create and maintain clear, comprehensive, documented functional specifications for requested changes, enhancements, or projects; accountable for articulating functional processes from beginning to end and providing thought leadership on functionality and design

• Strongly prefer ServiceNow Portal and HRSD experience
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail; Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
