Description:
In this role, and as part of our team, you will deliver an RF integration end-to-end Solution, which includes DUT control development, pre-silicon emulation/simulation, integrated RF calibration. You will become a central hub which enables different phases from design development toward Apple product’s mass production. You will also be responsible for Wireless SoC-RF Bring up at the first touch, final Silicon validation results and compliance. You will get the opportunity to keep developing your technical depth in both HW and SW domains, such as understanding of wireless transceiver architecture, RF system and DSP knowledge, Software framework, RF driver and embedded system, and experience of delivery Apple products until productization.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Develop and integrate RF end to end DUT control sequence and then verify it with emulation system.• Responsible for wireless-SOC RF functionality bring up.• Design and develop RF block and/or system calibrations including algorithms and optimizations.• RF performance optimization and characterization such as Psat, Mask, IP3, NF, ACPR, phase noise, lock time, return loss.• Design RF test bench and implement scripts which controls wireless-SOC and communicate test equipment.• Writing scripts that plot, parse and analyze large data sets.• Generate RF performance summary report based on characterization results again chip specification.• Develop RF Calibrations and tests for Wafer ATE and Module ATE mass productions and analyze ATE failures.• Develop RF FW based on python reference script.
- BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Solid experience of RF parametric testing, such as IP3, NF, ACPR, phase noise, load pull.
- Strong working knowledge of RF test equipments, such as; network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, vector signal analyzer, vector signal generator.
- Strong Wireless RF background and familiarity with RF systems fundamentals, RF transceiver architectures and/or digital communication.
- Proficiency with understanding RFIC block-level design schematics.
- Some experience of RF PCB board design, debug, and development.
- Python programming language is highly desired.
- Experience with embedded system and C programming language is preferred.
- Automation framework development.

Description:
In this role, you will be a key part of the Cellular SoC Integration team in Munich, Germany. As Frontend-STA engineer you are the focal point for constraints development as well as design- and timing analysis. Together with RTL designers, Physical designers, and other integration teams, you will work on very exciting designs and sophisticated technology nodes.
You will be responsible for constraint development, including deliveries for synthesis, PnR, and sign-off STA. You will work on partition- as well as SoC-level and verify the results post-synthesis for all STA modes.In this role, you will be the link between digital design, mixed-signal design (.lib definition), and physical design. Your responsibility is to achieve sign-off quality of timing constraints, based on stakeholder requirements.Further, you will closely collaborate with digital designers to understand the design intent and its clock structure to optimize power, performance, and area. With CAD and PD teams you will continuously improve development flows.
- Hands-on experience on multiple projects with constraint development, -analysis, and -debugging.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard tools for STA, e.g. PrimeTime or Tempus.
- Proven understanding of hierarchical design approaches, top-down design, timing budgeting as well as timing and physical convergence.
- Proficient in day-to-day usage of scripting languages (TCL, Perl, Shell, Bash, Python), Linux, and revision control systems (e.g. PerForce)
- Very good experience with Verilog and the ability to analyze RTL/Netlist designs
- Good interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to find effective technical solutions between RTL-Design and Physical-Design teams
- English language proficiency is required for this position
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Software Engineering, or equivalent is a requirement with some years of working experience or a PhD in a relevant field with some years of proven experience.
- Experience with SoC practices such as multiple voltage and clock domains, integration of mixed-signal IPs, and power optimizations would be a big plus.
- Experience with synthesis, logic equivalence, or ECO techniques would be a plus.
