The Mechanical Systems Specialist will support operational excellence across HVAC, plumbing, and fire life safety systems in over 200 buildings in the portfolio. This role involves vendor oversight, inspections, system troubleshooting, and documentation. The role will report to the Mechanical Systems Manager.- Foster and maintain excellent relationships with various stakeholders.- Provide technical support and system troubleshooting for mechanical and tenant infrastructure.- Assist in the development and execution of preventive maintenance programs.- Support inspections, energy audits, LEED surveys, and accessibility reviews.- Help manage vendor services and ensure compliance with contract specifications.- Identify and report mechanical system challenges, contributing to resolution planning.- Maintain detailed documentation for systems performance and regulatory compliance.- Stay informed on industry trends in HVAC and building automation.
- Associate degree in mechanical engineering technology or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical system components.
- Basic proficiency in building automation systems (BAS, BMS).
- 3+ years of experience in facilities management or mechanical systems maintenance
- 5+ years of experience in Facilities, Maintenance or related field
- Ability to interpret and apply technical documentation, technical drawings and schematics.
- Prior experience working across cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience with facility maintenance or operations in a large building portfolio.
- Familiarity with LEED standards, energy efficiency practices, and building codes.
- Proficiency in Apple platforms including Keynote, Pages, and Numbers.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
