The mixed-signal ip firmware engineer role at Apple in the United States, San Diego, is an ideal position for those looking to develop, test, and debug software and embedded systems. As an engineer, you’ll be tasked with creating ip blocks related to peripherals and mixed-signal products. This includes firmware programming, logicsim/SPICE simulation, design, verification, debugging, and ensuring the products meet customers’ expectations. Additionally, you’ll also troubleshoot, test, and debug circuit designs, and work to correct and adapt microcontrollers, FPGAs, and custom logic.
The ideal candidate is highly experienced with digital and analog hardware, strong programming skills, and a critical problem solving ability. At minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is typically required. It’s also beneficial to have a strong understanding of ASIC flow, embedded systems design, lab measurements and debugging devices.
