We are looking for someone with great technical knowledge and expertise in firmware development, including 5G and 4G cellular physical layer firmware development. The engineer would work closely with our hardware and software teams to create embedded firmware solutions for usage in Apple cellular products. The right candidate must have a strong academic background in a related field, like computer engineering, software engineering, or electrical engineering. 5G/4G firmware experience is an absolute must, with a strong understanding of the related standards. Expert knowledge of C, C++, and Assembly language is a must, as well as an in-depth understanding of networking protocols. Also important is experience with low-level operations, hardware debugging, and embedded platforms is required. This position requires someone who is tech-savvy and has excellent problem-solving skills. The role also entails partnering internally and externally with other teams and vendors, so excellent communication skills are a must.
