Being a Data Center Technician at Amazon is an exciting, complex, and rewarding role. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of servers, storage systems, and other data center hardware and software. You will also be responsible for monitoring system performance and troubleshooting any problems. At Amazon, you will be given all the necessary tools and support to be successful. You will receive intense hands-on training, as well as certifications in product and software knowledge. You will need to understand Amazon's environment and be able to quickly respond to any unexpected issues. The emphasis put on customer service, accuracy, and timeliness is also critical for success in this role. You will be actively researching emerging technologies to help ensure Amazon is maximizing its performance, data security, and cost-effectiveness. You must also be willing to take initiative and help drive improvement projects. The role requires a strong technical background in computer systems, networking, storage, and data centers. Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills are also essential. You must have the motivation to understand and learn new technologies, and the ability to transition between different data center environments.
