A day in the life

- 3+ years experience of software development and deployment of distributed multi-tier applications
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Prior use of AWS technologies at scale in a production environment
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science

- Content Management System (CMS) expertise: In-depth knowledge and experience building proprietary CMS platforms. This includes understanding the CMS architecture, plugin/module development, theming, and customization.
- Expertise in building Agentic AI workflows that empower users through adaptive, contextualized, and personalized interactions
- Knowledge of natural language processing, knowledge representation, and multi-modal reasoning to enable human-like communication and task completion
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning, meta-learning, and other advanced AI techniques to create continuously improving Agentic AI systems

A day in the life
In this role, you will:
- Design and implement audio/video pipelines and board support packages for next-generation SoCs
- Work on secure boot implementations and hardware abstraction layers- Contribute to reference applications that demonstrate SDK capabilities

You will become the primary resolver for your support team, and gain troubleshooting skills on one or more operating systems. You create and maintain documentation on technologies you support and are able to convey Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) to junior staff. You understand all aspects of the equipment you support. Data Centres are 24/7 environments. All interested candidates must be willing to work rotating shifts (day/night) as well as weekends. Data Centre Technicians are also required to wear a pager for communication, information, emergency, and on-call situations.

Description detail
· Lead and coordinate design efforts between internal teams and outside vendors to develop optimal solutions for Amazon Logistical network, including equipment specifications and Fulfillment Centre (FC) layouts.
· Capital project management to include - Creation of conceptual drawings, equipment specifications and bid documentation to facilitate a competitive bid environment
· Provide frequent on-site monitoring and enforcement of installation schedules and vendor quality with MHE vendors/subcontractors.
· Inspect prospective and completed facilities in accordance with corporate standards and procedures, ensuring proper follow-up on snagging lists and warranty work
· Provide leadership and coordination between internal departments and MHE vendors for multiple installation sites.
· Develop and manage budget and contract documents including RFPs, change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing
· Coordinate with local site management to ensure proper operator training, procedural compliance, maintenance practices are followed for new and existing MHE equipment
· Creating, submitting and tracking the relevant Capex documentation to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
· Work very closely with the UK Real Estate, IT and Process teams together with the software and Operations Integration teams to ensure on time project delivery.
· Understand the Operational process in detail, including the all the relevant WMS tools used on a daily basis.

- B.S. Degree in Engineering or related discipline.

- To qualify for this programme, you must:
- Be 18 years or over before the start date (September 2026)
