Please note a Full-time role may involve shifts, weekends, and on-call rotations.AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS)You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.Key job responsibilities
The Engineering Operations team are AWS’s front-line responders for hands-on troubleshooting and operations of critical infrastructure. As a Trainee, you will:
- Assist in maintaining and operating mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Support root cause analysis of equipment failures.
- Help troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
- Take daily operational readings of mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Use our internal CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to manage workflows.
- Work alongside third-party vendors and contractors onsite.
- You will work with equipment that supports mission-critical servers, including but not limited to: diesel generators, switchgear, UPSs, PDUs, air handling units, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems.Physical Requirements:
- Working at heights and from ladders.
- Regularly lifting/moving up to 22kg (49lbs) unassisted, and participating in group lifts for heavier loads.
- Using hands to handle and manipulate small tools, wires, and objects.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- 3+ cumulative years of design experience with industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation, oil / gas facilities. Pharmaceuticals, Semiconductors

- Project Management Certified or Trained
