The Solutions Architect team at AWS is responsible for helping customers successfully implement cloud technologies. In a typical week you will meet multiple customers, and you will collaborate with them on designing and operating well-architected solutions. You will earn their trust and show them the art of the possible, educating them around the capabilities of AWS. Partnering with internal teams and experts, leveraging a deep knowledge of our tools and products, you’ll craft highly scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address our customers’ business problems. - Bachelor's degree
- Background in any other following or related to Technology Architect, Consultant, Cloud Architect, Technical Lead, Engineering Lead, Systems Engineer etc.
- Experience and/or deeper understanding in one or more technology areas. Specific knowledge in multiple technology domain areas (e.g., software development/architecture, systems engineering, infrastructure, containers, databases, security, networking, data & analytics, AI/ML, GenAI).
- Have worked on design, development, implementation, or consulting applications / platforms in their prior experience
- Can create proof of concepts, demos, and/or scripts from scratch or leveraging reusable components.
- Understands and can articulate common architectural patterns and design principles.
- Able to create technical content that is easily adopted and reusable by others.
- Fluent communication skills.

- Experience architecting, migrating or transforming customer requirements to the cloud
- Professional experience architecting / operating solutions built on AWS or other cloud technology
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions and/or applications to the cloud
- One or more AWS certifications, e.g. AWS Solutions Architect Professional
- Able to present to technical and business audiences (training, workshops, publications)
- 4 years’ experience as a Solution Architect or related role.

- 10+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals in object-oriented design

· Monitors the data centre Amazon facilities infrastructure platform
· Serves as a Point of Contact for internal and external teams
· Assists with the development of communication and escalation protocols designed to improve the team’s performance
· Contributes to outage post mortem analysis
· Ensures records are updated in a timely manner
· Assists with coordination and communication during emergency recovery efforts
· Assists with the development of tools that will enhance the team’s performance
· The ability to support a 24X7 environment (This is shift work which may require that you work weekends and holidays).

* 2+ years of Electrical or Mechanical Experience

This is an ideal role for someone who has experience working for a global systems integrator, a large IT consulting firm, or a Fortune 1000 company. In this role, you will develop the technical capabilities of our Global Strategic Partners (GSPs) so they can be successful in the cloud. Working with these large partners is a team effort that will require influence and coordination with many stakeholders. You should possess both a technical background that enables you to engage at the VP/CXO level, as well as a sales background that enables you to easily interact with customers and account management/field reps/pre-sales architects. You should be just as comfortable talking modernization, Data & Generative AI, and migrations with partner executives, continuous deployment with the DevOps team, TCO with the CFO, and cloud strategy with the CIO. - 10 or more years of related experience
- Technology Breadth: Experience with the AWS cloud, demonstrate architectural best practices applied across a breadth of technologies to solve organizational problems, articulate views/roadmaps for future development, and understand the interaction between infrastructure, operations, and development
