Quality Assurance Supervisor (QA) is a member of the Distribution Center management team. They will work to continuously optimize our DC quality and SOP compliance by engaging with various stakeholders to improve QA metrics, refine processes and remove waste from operations. This individual will be a strong people manager with the ability to effectively manage associates with varying levels of experience. The position requires someone who can work both autonomously and collaboratively in a demanding and often ambiguous environment with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all Quality Control/Assurance topics related functions in Distribution Center and be accountable for achieving all service level and quality targets
  • Train, Cross-Train, Manage, and develop all QA associates
  • Maintain full working knowledge of the WCS and WMS platforms
  • Manage the collection, reporting and feedback regarding operations functions using SAP, excel, queries, Power Bi, SCI and WMS reporting
  • Report on Quality Control metrics to evaluate DC compliance, Cuts, Inventory Availability, quality, and safety.
  • Create a positive team environment that encourages all associates to provide insights and feedback to improve processes, adapt to an ever-changing business, and stay focused on customer satisfaction
  • Maintain all OSHA safety standards including all reporting of accidents, injuries, damages, and potential threats to safety
  • Direct efforts ensuring all associates maintain a safe and orderly working environment
  • Identify, report, and follow up on any property damage or safety concerns
  • Provide regular updates to Leadership team on evolution of audits, plans and actions
  • Support Lean Six Sigma activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience operating in high-volume, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) distribution environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to effectively and efficiently interact with associates and senior DC Leadership team.
  • Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organization skills
  • Strong analytical and data manipulation skills. Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications
  • The job requires extensive walking and standing on hard surfaces
  • Regularly required to talk, hear; sit, stand and/or walk; use fingers, hands, arms and feet to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push, pull, bend, and/or twist for up to ten (10) hours/day
  • Occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel and/or crouch
  • Occasionally lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Ability to work safely on elevated surfaces (2nd level mezzanine)

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • Minimum of two (2) years related distribution experience and/or training
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required

  • Intermediate numeracy and literacy and advanced verbal communication skills

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Senior Stockroom Management role
