Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

As second line of defence, partner with Management to identify risk-based opportunities to improve business processes by balancing risk and control. Primary objectives: • Design and perform continuous monitoring (including risk monitoring and controls testing) to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of risk management and controls. • Draw on process expertise and act on risk. • Develop and implement management resolutions that address root causes. • Shorten the time to management action.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and perform continuous monitoring to assess the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of risk management and controls.
• Actively provide risk-based vs control advice and/or solutions on new initiatives, transitions, and/or process changes.
• Continuous review of the ICS framework to ensure relevance to GBS operating model, GBS operations and balancing the risk/cost and benefits.
• Timely coordination/execution of the ICS testing (control reviews) including mandatory documentation in Teammate+ and heading remediation of all identified control deficiencies in collaboration with local Senior Management
• Drive Global Policy Manual (GPM) awareness and ensure GPM relevance to GBS operations.
• Follow up on ICS exceptions and/or CIA recommendations and ensure timely closure of actions/ issues.
• Act as the SPOC for internal and external audits.

Process/System Review
• Plan and conduct end-to-end process reviews/audit to identify risk / internal control issues/improvement. Ensure that proposed internal control(s) are embedded i.e. effective and efficient.

Data Analytics
• Assess, develop and build a data analytics framework to identify potential risks and anomalies as part of continuous monitoring. This includes but not limited to, identifying relevant data points to monitor on an ongoing basis.
• Independently manage and/or conduct data analytics to provide risk-based insights to stakeholders.
Key Relationships:

• GBS: Senior Leadership Team, GPOs, Delivery Excellence, Transition Management teams
• Market Internal controls teams and Finance Director.
• Group functions such as Global Internal controls, Group Policies & Accounting Principles, Group Risk & Compliance Management, etc.
• Internal and external auditors


• Effective communication and presentation skills with ability to influence and convey recommendations to address risks.
• Ability to understand and navigate within complex organization structures, diverse cultures, and system landscape.
• Strong data mindset and analytical capabilities with the ability to manage large volumes of data/information from various sources and connect the dots to derive meaningful observations.
• Knowledge in the use of SAP FI and advanced user of MS Office suite of products including Power BI.
• Experience working with SQL, Python, Databricks, CoPilot, Power Automate and Knime preferred.


• University degree or above
• CIA or CPA qualification is a plus.
• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Minimum 8+ years of audit experience with an international audit firm and/or internal audit/internal control experience with a multinational company
• Profound knowledge of best practices in internal control/internal audit and policy & procedures

  • Support the E2E monthly IBP process:
    • Manage and continuously enhance the IBP database, tools and reports to optimize the planning environment for key stakeholders, enabling them for better decision making
    • Fully accountable for monthly IBP system submission, ensuring submission meets global requirements and market’s alignment by validating data integrity and cleansing data when needed
    • Manage consolidation of countries input to provide SEA view
    • Grasp key financial figures of IBP (Net sales, Go in margin, pricing, volumes) , financial plan and operational data (business on hand, buy, range plan)
    • Support monthly IBP review meetings with a focus on category performance with country teams, SEA Brand, commercial and finance teams. Covering key metrics by country, by channel, by category for the 2 year planning period
    • Contribute to cross functional collaboration with key stakeholders through IBP process
  • Support Inventory management for SEA:
    • Grasp key inventory KPIs (Inventory value and volumes, stock turn, month on hand)
    • Support SEA inventory manager on key inventory reports
  • Manage key reports for SEA Demand Planning team, such as IBP dashboard, Price and margin analysis.

Drive the development of procurement practices across categories including:

  • Execute tactical buying process of low and mid value item across all categories and support category managers on the definition and deployment of Sourcing Strategy for the Cluster
  • Realization of stakeholder management to maximize savings and procurement’s value contribution
  • Supporting in contract management activities and ensuring, when required, a proper supplier relationship management
  • Assure achieving of procurement compliance targets including policies, strategies, and processes
  • Deliver committed annual Procurement savings and Global Business Services SLA and KPI’s
  • Lead procurement content design, set up and maintenance

Execution of tactical buying process

  • Analyze mid value tactical buys, facilitate high value tactical buy execution with the responsible category manager
  • Ensure compliance throughout the entire process
  • Search for potential suppliers, either existing or new ones
  • ConductRFXs(negotiation, supplier selection) and support responding to suppliers in case of commercial or system related questions
  • Facilitate alignment of technical requirements between internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • For selected tactical buys, follow-up on technical evaluations with internal stakeholders to ensure timeliness of tendering process
  • Execute negotiation, supplier selection and determine Purchase Order (PO) terms and conditions

Execution of content activities

  • Set up and enable procurement content, such as e-catalogues, forms and connections to content marketplaces and external tools
  • Identify improvement opportunities for additional content creation, with a focus on e-catalogues and their enablement on the procurement portal after alignment with the respective Category Managers.
  • Propose continuous improvement initiatives based on observations from daily operations, e.g. buying channel optimization possibilities
  • Act as a key contact within procurement for all questions and queries around procurement content

  • Support the sourcing & category management team with planning, executing and analyzing eSourcing events
  • Lead eSourcing project design and monitor E2E eSourcing

  • Strong knowledge of procurement tools, processes, content and automation (E-sourcing -Ariba-, P2P - Ariba-, e-catalogues, buying channels, etc.)
  • Strong ability to analyze data, specifications, and influence demand
  • Capability to independently interact throughout the adidas Group and to work with virtual teams
  • Knowledge and experience in projects and process management
  • Strong analytical, presentation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Action oriented and solution minded team player with high degree of self-management
