The position of Regional Distribution Leader f or the Electrical Markets Division is responsible for engaging and growing assigned direct distributor accounts. Developing and driving division marketing strategies and sales growth, along with gaining shelf conversions while aligning to end user opportunities, are keys to success.

Key responsibilities included:

A 3M Regional Distribution Leader for the Electrical Markets Division , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Grow 3M business with key distribution partners in assigned geography
  • Deliver the 3M EMD Brand Promise to distribution
  • Use analytic and category management skills to Identify, influence, and manage new sales and conversion opportunities in the Channel
  • Report and manage product stock levels and new product stock suggestions to generate orders
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with key accounts/executives
  • Identify and develop marketing and promotional activities
  • Build relationships with new and existing stakeholders to increase sales
  • Communicate, present, and sell local and national promotions to multiple stakeholders
  • Coordinate and implement events, training, and merchandising sales plans
  • Manage contracts and RFQ’s
  • Conduct multiple weekly Authorized Distributor branch visits
  • Training distributor counter and sales personnel
  • Works on a team of Commercial & Industrial sales professionals and partner 3M divisions

This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)
  • Two (2) years sales experience in electrical, construction or industrial market in a private, public, government or military environment
  • Current, valid D river’s L

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Proficient in Salesforce, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Teams etc.)
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in sales or marketing
  • Minimum four (4) years of distribution sales/marketing and/or management experience
  • Experience with analytics, fact-based selling, category management
  • Demonstrated experience communicating cross functionally and to all levels in an organization.
  • Skilled as proficient at prioritizing and managing many projects simultaneously.
  • Aptitude to understand multiple product lines

The person hired for the position of Sales Representative – Fresno, Bakersfield in California will be responsible for covering the assigned territory, establishing/building/managing relationships with end users, and distributors, by representing the entire PSD product portfolio (Respiratory, Hearing, Protective Eye Wear, Fall Protection, Protective Clothing, Welding, and Head & Face). Position intended for individuals experienced in sales and who have demonstrated effective use of selling skills and have consistently achieved or exceeded forecast over a sustained period of time. Primarily, manages sales territory with periodic supervision and assistance. When necessary, receives assistance in handling situations which require either greater or different experience or knowledge.

  • Strong problem solving and collaboration skills, keeping projects on brand, budget and on time.
  • Manage project estimates, budget and timelines with internal and external partners.
  • Strong knowledge of consumer brand design methodologies, including managing large global packaging redesigns from concept through production art to print.
  • Adapt and work well with defined approaches, systems, best practices and processes.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes as needed.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external agency partners.

  • In-depth packaging design knowledge and experience with print production.
  • Knowledge of packaging regulation and uniform packaging laws is important.
  • Knowledge of consumer goods packaging industry.
