The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Performing all the duties of a Maintenance Technician in keeping production and auxiliary equipment operational and processes going
  • Troubleshoot difficult equipment issues using blueprints, equipment manuals and internet resources while utilizing an advanced skill set in most of the following areas: pneumatics, PLC, machinery, hydraulics, welding, and electrical
  • Participating in all safety and regulatory training needed to fulfill the duties of the position
  • Follow all plant safety rules and regulations, wear PPE as required per procedures
  • Assure labor time is entered in maintenance work orders along with detailed resolution
  • Taking initiative to resolve issues while receiving little instruction on daily work and general instructions on newly introduced assignments

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher completed and verified prior to start
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience as a skilled technician in a private, public, government, or military environment, OR a 2-year technical degree in a maintenance field (completed and verified prior to start)

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Five or more years industrial maintenance experience

Maintenance Engineer

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Perform failure mode and effect analysis to assure the proper Preventive & Predictive Maintenance programs are implemented, audited and improved on all existing and future assets.
  • Application of Reliability Based Maintenance programs such as Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
  • Assess & develop capability of mechanics on their role in reliability improvement and to advance their technical capabilities.
  • Analyze data (failure, cost, uptime, etc.) and apply appropriate reliability analysis tools to develop & implement improvement plans.
  • Perform & document equipment criticality analysis in support of an effective critical spares strategy.
  • Submit recommendations and justification for capital expenditures that support and improve the Reliability Program.
  • Provide an external awareness of methods and technologies that advance our own internal body of knowledge for the improvement of our operations reliability.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or engineering degree (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
  • Three (3) years of manufacturing in automotive or aerospace private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Five (5) years of manufacturing in automotive or aerospace private, public, government or military environment
  • Skills include… Strong communication, independent, strategic, problem solving. PLC, Automation, variable frequency drives
  • Two (2) years direct experience with reliability analysis, predictive (PdM), and preventative maintenance (PM).

  • Providing daily technical assistance to maintenance, process and production personnel in diagnosing, troubleshooting and determining root cause failures.
  • Providing control system theory and programming training to maintenance electricians, control system technologists and control system engineers
  • Supporting corporate, division and plant engineering groups with the planning and installation of capital projects
  • Willingness to be on-call and work different shifts to provide coverage
  • Other duties as assigned

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
  • Three (3) years’ industrial experience with the support, installation and modification of electrical control systems in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Five (5) years’ experience with the support, installation and modification of electrical control systems
  • Controls Engineering support experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Measurex, NDC or Mahalo Gauging systems
  • Experience with Allen Bradley, Siemens, Modicon or Automax PLC’s and Drives
  • Experience with Wonderware, Ignition, IFIX or Factory Talk View SE Scada Systems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills
