As a Warehouse & Transportation Operation Lead, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Lead project planning, execution, and delivery to ensure alignment with organizational goals, budgets, and timelines.
  • Coordinate and Collaborates with Program Manager, Stakeholders, cross-functional teams, external 3PL companies and project team members to perform and deliver following; refine project scope, and define project plan utilizing Work Breakdown Structures. Define communication plans and executes them within organization to ensure project support. T
    o ensure smooth communication and effective collaboration.
    Leverages resources, which may be global, across the Division/Staff Unit, as well as typically across several disciplines, to achieve timely completion of project deliverables. Makes recommendations on forecasting the project budget. Controls the approved project budget.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks or issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain project performance. Prepare and present status reports, performance metrics, and key updates to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to Establish data management tools, deep dive the data and identify opportunities for process optimization and data-driven improvement. Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to communicate key trends and performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety or regulatory requirements throughout all project stages.

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in a private, public, government or military environment, Five (5) years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to work in cross functional teams.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze information. Strong deep-diving, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Fluency in Japanese. Business-level English.
  • Strong operational and problem-solving skills with a history of delivering consistent results.
  • Proven leadership abilities with strong negotiation, influencing skills, and ability to lead change management.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • knowledge of the Project Management process as described in the PMBOK ® Guide (A Guide to the Project Management Institute Body of Knowledge) published by the Project Management Institute.
  • Master's degree in Supply Chain or Logistics from an accredited institution.
  • Supply Chain or logistics experience in the manufacturing industry or third-party logistics company.
  • Change management certification or experience.
  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools, including SAP logistics modules.

  • This role has on-site working model, with the employee working at least 4 days per week in the 3M locations [3M Japan Head Office]
