To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, with at least 2 years in designing and maintaining data pipelines, ETL processes and database architectures.

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or IT, or Bachelor’s in Data Science, Statistics, or related field.

  • Strong expertise in SQL, Python, or Scala for data processing, automation and transformation.

  • Hands-on experience with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka for real-time and batch processing.

  • Experience in cloud data platforms including AWS Redshift, Google Big Query, or Azure Synapse, with proficiency in cloud-native ETL and data pipeline tools.

You will become key member of our SAP team. Your role will be focused primarily on the delivery of SAP services to one or more of our multiple large clients implementing SAP S/4HANA. Your secondary focus will be on support and broader practice development. Your Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the planning and management of client projects throughout all phases of project delivery

  • Proven experience in leading design workshops to gain a clear understanding of our client’s industry and business requirements

  • Designing and configuring appropriate best practice solutions to meet client requirements

  • Producing key project deliverables including design and configuration documentation, functional specs, data migration specs, test scripts, training materials, etc.

Your key responsibilities

Working under the supervision of a Partner and/or Director, you will play a lead role in the delivery of Services to clients. You will support through:

  • Understanding our client requirements and co-developing our approach with the client
  • Gathering, verifying and analysing information to formulate views.
  • Understand, manipulate and interpret financial data and client information, drawing appropriate conclusions.
  • Review Excel models and arrive at preliminary conclusions.
  • Carry out relevant analysis, present findings (both written and orally) and provide value to our clients through insights, factual conclusions and advice.
  • Project management of team, client and stakeholders (which may include investors, lenders, public officials, other advisors etc)
  • Managing the day-to-day progression of assignments to include planning, preparing and reviewing various forms of deliverables to include reports and presentations.
  • Apply a focus on anticipating and identifying risks that require escalation and subsequently escalating these risks as appropriate.
  • Providing mentoring, coaching and support to junior team members

  • Be AITI qualified with 3-4 years’ relevant PQE.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with laws and regulations through effective internal control measures.

Expected Qualifications:

  • 5+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Lead the end-to-end management of issues and incidents, ensuring timely detection, root cause analysis, remediation planning, and closure. Collaborate closely with business, product, and operational teams to ensure all issues are accurately captured in governance tools and tracked through appropriate oversight forums.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across PayPal’s products and business processes to proactively identify emerging and residual risks. This includes evaluating control effectiveness, documenting key risk indicators (KRIs), and partnering with control owners to implement mitigation strategies within the enterprise risk framework.
  • Oversee Product Change Requests by assessing proposed product or process changes through a risk and control lens. Facilitate stakeholder reviews with Legal, Compliance, and partner banks to ensure changes align with regulatory expectations, internal standards, and PayPal’s approved risk appetite.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners such as Compliance, Legal, Platform, Finance, Engineering, Strategy, Product, and Risk — to strengthen the governance framework, maintain updated policy and procedure documentation, and ensure consistent control execution across global product portfolios.
  • Develop and present governance reports and dashboards summarizing key risk metrics, control performance, issue trends, and PCR outcomes. Provide actionable insights to senior leadership and risk committees, supporting informed decision-making and continuous improvement of PayPal’s control environment.
  • What do you need to bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.

    6-8 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or controls within the financial services industry, preferably in a credit-related role

    Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to credit governance and controls.

    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools is a plus.

    Relevant professional certificates are advantageous.

  • Strong expertise in SQL, Python, or Scala for data processing, automation and transformation.

  • Hands-on experience with big data frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka for real-time and batch processing.

  • Experience in cloud data platforms including AWS Redshift, Google Big Query, or Azure Synapse, with proficiency in cloud-native ETL and data pipeline tools.

  • Strong understanding of data modeling principles, relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra).

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills.

  • Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative.

  • Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)
