Microsoftis the team behind the cloud.  Within CO+I, theCore Datacenter Services (DCS)teamis responsible forthe development and implementation of global strategies across our Datacenters (DCs).As aPrincipal Manager Technical Program Managerfocused on Infrastructure Utilization Efficiency (IUE), you willbe responsible forleading and managingprojects aimed atpower management infrastructure across diverse geographical locations and multi-disciplinary teams. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for maximizing efficiency,energy consumption, and ensuring sustainable practices in our cloud infrastructure.Additionally, you will be coach, model, and care for the team within AMERs (Americas) and LATAM (Latin America) to deliver againstkey objective key results (OKRs).

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years people management experience
  • 3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Technical Program Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation. Responsibilities
  • Deliver against regional established Objective Key Results (OKRs) through innovative approaches to power harvesting against a set of constraints.
  • Lead a team of Technical Program Managers focused on driving infrastructureutilizationinitiatives across multiple datacenter facilities within the region.
  • Develop and implement strategies tooptimizedatacenter infrastructureutilizationwhile ensuring high reliability and performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, finance, and business development toidentifyopportunities for improving infrastructure efficiency.
  • Define and trackObjective Key Results(OKRs) to measure the effectiveness ofutilizationimprovement initiatives.
  • Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines for infrastructureutilizationprojects.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to support their professional growth and development.
  • Coordinate with vendors and third-party partners toleveragetheirexpertiseand resources in driving infrastructure optimization efforts.
  • Be the functional leaderbetween regional leadershipand key stakeholder teamsto communicate progress, challenges, and opportunities related to infrastructureutilization.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine processes and workflows to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
