Your key responsibilities:

As a Manager, you’re likely to spend most of your time on operational and technical aspects of client business while steering engagement delivery and managing client relationships. This requires developing an in-depth understanding ofour clients’ unique needs and goals to effectively lead a workstream while delivering meaningful insights. You will be specifically responsible for leading the delivery of a project or workstream, owning the end-to-end development of high-quality work products, managing client relationships, providing oversight of and coaching to more junior team members, and leading/supporting engagement operations.

Additionally, as a Manager, you will contribute to building our business by leading or supporting the development of thought leadership and client proposals and managing the operational aspects of the business.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering or a related discipline; an MBA or Master’s is a plus
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in financial services (e.g.,Consulting, Program/Project Management, Banking(Client Front Office, Underwriting, Portfolio Management, Credit Analysis, etc.), ratings agency, regulatory organization) or a graduate degree plus approximately 3+ years of related work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, client service, and problem-solving skills, coupled with a strong interest in further developing industry and deep content knowledge in the Credit Risk space
  • Ability to travel – you will likely spend a significant amount of time on-site with our clients. This travel can be as much as 80% to 100% of a work week at times
  • A willingness to operate under a hybrid work environment (typically 40 to 60% of the week in an EY office with your team when not on-site with a client)

Ideally, you’ll also have experience in:

  • Consulting experience with a Big 4 firm or large global financial institution
  • Strong understanding of the credit lifecycle (e.g., sales/origination, underwriting, fulfillment, servicing, loan accounting, monitoring, and default)
  • Experience working as part of a cross-functional or multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence peers and management
  • Ability to manage and supervise a program or team through all phases of the project lifecycle
  • Experience creating detailed project plans, managing tasks and deliverables against the plan, reviewing outputs from the team, and providing constructive feedback to team members
  • Experience performing current state and future state assessment, gap analysis, process assessment, reengineering and operational implementation experience
  • Experience with process improvement or process optimization
  • Foundational knowledge of regulations or supervisory guidelines impacting Credit Risk Management functions (e.g., OCC Heightened Standards)
  • Foundational knowledge of Counterparty Credit Risk products (e.g., derivatives, repurchase agreements, securities lending, and prime brokerage/margin loans) and concepts (e.g., potential future exposure (PFE), settlement risk, wrong way risk (WWR), risk factor sensitivities, counterparty stress testing and capital)

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $117,300 to $215,100. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $140,800 to $244,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
