Supply Chain Operations - Oil & Gas - Upstream Onshore Production Operations Transformation - Senior Manager
This role requires a mix of industry credibility, commercial acumen, and solution leadership. You will drive alliance strategies, represent EY in the market, and partner with both clients and internal teams to deliver tangible value in production operations across the asset lifecycle.
Your key responsibilities
As a senior manager focused on production operations transformation, you will:
- Lead the identification, structuring, and validation of holistic production operations transformation solutions, including business model redesign, data and technology integration, and performance optimization
- Serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders across field operations, production engineering, digital enablement, and enterprise leadership
- Shape and execute go-to-market strategies for EY’s production operations portfolio, with a focus on onshore unconventional assets
- Build and activate partnerships with technology providers, OEMs, and service firms to develop integrated offerings around surveillance, field automation, production optimization, and remote operations
- Represent EY in external forums, industry associations, and strategic engagements to build thought leadership and brand equity
- Partner with delivery teams to refine solution playbooks, deployment models, and domain accelerators for field implementation
- Support pursuits, develop technical and commercial content for proposals, and lead early-stage client engagements
- Drive continuous refinement of EY’s production transformation architecture by learning from engagements and market signals
Skills and attributes for success
- Deep domain expertise in onshore production operations, with hands-on understanding of well performance, artificial lift systems, surveillance workflows, and field asset management
- Proven experience with operational excellence, digital enablement, and integrated production systems (e.g., SCADA, DCS, PI, digital twins)
- Strong grasp of industry dynamics, including LOE cost structures, field logistics, emissions mandates, and uptime optimization
- Commercial acumen and comfort driving client discussions on strategy, performance, and ROI of digital investments
- Ability to work across functional teams such as engineering, IT, digital, supply chain, and finance to shape truly integrated solutions
- Strategic mindset with a bias for action and continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills with an ability to translate operational complexity into client-relevant narratives and transformation roadmaps
To qualify for the role, you must have
- A bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, operations, or related technical discipline
- 10+ years of experience in upstream oil and gas with direct exposure to production operations and optimization, either with an operator, OFS company, or through consulting/advisory roles
- Track record of working in or alongside production operations teams in unconventional plays (e.g., Permian, Eagle Ford etc.)
- Experience shaping digital or operational transformation initiatives in well operations, artificial lift optimization, or remote operations
- Exposure to enabling technologies and platforms such as production surveillance dashboards, edge analytics, AI/ML models for production forecasting, or cloud-native data platforms.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Experience supporting strategic pursuits or proposal development for production transformation engagements
- Prior consulting experience or experience influencing change in large organizations
- Relationships across production technology ecosystems, OEMs, or cloud vendors.
- Familiarity with asset management, emissions reporting, and digital field enablement strategies

- We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $150,400 to $343,600. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $180,500 to $390,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
