Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering Systems, Mechanical Engineering or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
Applying Statistics and Production Control process to compare failure rates and evaluate effectiveness of a proposed mitigation
Performing data analysis to review commonality and trends, propose corrective actions, and identify rootcause of problems
Using working knowledge of production process to diagnose manufacturing issues,
Using knowledge of mechanical design to evaluate best practices for testing and product assembly
Performing failure analysis to locate reliability testing failures and incoming component material issues
Performing statistical data analysis to compare failure rates before and after mitigations, use of visualization tools such as jmp for plotting distributions and comparisons
Applying sampling plans to estimate correct sample size, recommend risk levels, and ensure issues seen by customers are caught at factory before shipping
