- 5 years of experience with each of the following skills is required:
- Applying Statistics and Production Control process to compare failure rates and evaluate effectiveness of a proposed mitigation
- Performing data analysis to review commonality and trends, propose corrective actions, and identify rootcause of problems
- Using working knowledge of production process to diagnose manufacturing issues,
- Using knowledge of mechanical design to evaluate best practices for testing and product assembly
- Performing failure analysis to locate reliability testing failures and incoming component material issues
- Performing statistical data analysis to compare failure rates before and after mitigations, use of visualization tools such as jmp for plotting distributions and comparisons
- Applying sampling plans to estimate correct sample size, recommend risk levels, and ensure issues seen by customers are caught at factory before shipping
