Your impact

Theis tasked to undertake planning and technical delivery of geotechnical deliverables, including designs, design documentation, reports and specifications. This role will require travel and assignments to project sites in Indonesia or international locations up to a month at a time.


Responsibilities include:

  • Confidently review and independently check Geotechnical designs and documentation completed by others, including EPC Contractors.
  • Construction site based activities, including construction observation, meetings in a construction team environment and assisting Contractors to identify appropriate design solutions when ground conditions vary to that planned.
  • Planning, execution and overseeing site investigations and geotechnical fieldwork, including HSE planning.
  • Responsibility for scoping and planning projects, and support for geotechnical proposals and tenders. Maintain and build on existing internal and external client relationships.
  • Collaborate with Team and Section leaders and colleagues and support Project Managers to manage operational risk, delivery of HSE and quality. Contribute to projects in accordance with Jacobs systems and processes.
  • Project/design management of small to medium projects and packages.
  • Provide guidance to other technical staff (cad operators, more inexperienced junior designers, graduates, etc) in the use and application of Software Applications.
  • Working collaboratively with other members of Civil and Ground Engineering sections, as well as members of Buildings, Water, Power and Consulting sections; providing inputs to project works and tender bids.

Here's what you'll need
  • Appropriate degree (e.g. Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or related)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in the relevant role including preparing geotechnical designs and deliverables for general infrastructure projects
  • Experience in planning, coordination and supervision of geotechnical investigations and technical reporting
  • Knowledgeable in some of the latest software applications such as Open Ground, Leapfrog, SLOPE/W, SEEP/W, WALLAP, PLAXIS
