We are seeking to hire a
Senior Geotechnical Engineer,who is dynamic, with innovative engineering management and development consultancy and a recognized Geotechnical leader in providing renewable energy technical advisory services. You will work alongside with Subject Matter Experts across the region, as well as other discipline professionals across Jacobs.

- Undertake planning and technical delivery of geotechnical deliverables, including designs, design documentation, reports and specifications.
- Provide technical input and advice to design teams and clients with respect to Geotechnical Engineering in accordance with relevant industry/client, local and international standards.
- Confidently review and independently check Geotechnical designs and documentation completed by others, including EPC Contractors.
- Construction site-based activities, including construction observation, meetings in a construction team environment and assisting Contractors to identify appropriate design solutions when ground conditions vary to that planned.
- Planning, execution and overseeing site investigations and geotechnical fieldwork, including HSE planning.
- Be a competent user of some of the latest software applications and industry trends for your area of expertise (Including Open Ground, Leapfrog, SLOPE/W, SEEP/W, WALLAP, PLAXIS) through on the job training and in-house technical training initiatives.
- Responsibility for scoping and planning projects, and support for geotechnical proposals and tenders. Maintain and build on existing internal and external client relationships.
- Collaborate with Team and Section leaders and colleagues and support Project Managers to manage operational risk, delivery of HSE and quality. Contribute to projects in accordance with Jacobs systems and processes.
- Project/design management of small to medium projects and packages.
- Provide guidance to other technical staff (Cad operators, more inexperienced junior designers, graduates, etc) in the use and application of Software Applications.
- Working collaboratively with other members of Civil and Ground Engineering sections, as well as members of Buildings, Water, Power and Consulting sections; providing inputs to project works
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree (e.g. Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology)
- Collaborate with other team members (both locally and globally), across disciplines and sectors, to encourage innovation and open opportunities with connected thinking.
- Knowledge and experience implementing local HSE regulations and standards
- Experience in planning, coordination and supervision of geotechnical investigations and technical reporting.
- Significant knowledge and experience of geotechnical design principles and methods, and deliverables for infrastructure projects
- Active participation in achieving ‘best for project’ outcomes
- Maintain and build on existing client relationships, internal and external, through an understanding of client needs and effective communication
- Support strong service delivery to all clients Client liaison
