Manage law firm operations, including creating new matters in IP asset management systems and billing systems, coordinating execution of agreements, assisting outside counsel on obtaining and completing legal documents, secondee logistics, and conformance with IP Team policies and deliverable expectations
  4. Assist in coordinating the management of Uber’s global trademark and copyright portfolios, including commissioning trademark clearance searches, facilitating filing and prosecution of trademark applications, and docketing
  5. Assist in enforcement efforts, including gathering evidence, instructing outside counsel and vendors
  6. Support internal projects, including audits of international dispute and prosecution portfolios, aimed to right-size Uber’s prosecution and dispute portfolios internationally
  7. Create internal reports and ensure data integrity in IP asset management systems
  8. Coordinate internal client operations with in-house attorneys, including meetings, IP training, maintaining and updating IP team’s intranet pages, client request tracking, and scheduling

Basic Qualifications

  1. Bachelor degree from an accredited university (or equivalent experience and education)
  2. A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a trademark paralegal, administrator, or equivalent experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal team

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Minimum four (4) years experience in a law firm or corporation with responsibility for operations, including vendor management, process development, and budget tracking
  2. Trademark portfolio management experience, including clearance, prosecution, and enforcement experience, as well as knowledge of USPTO procedures and forms; experience with implementation of new docketing systems or other SaaS providers a plus
  3. Proficiency in creating and managing records and data reporting in billing and asset management systems
  4. Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets and Powerpoint/Slides, including ability to create/edit formulas and pivot tables, create data driven graphs and charts, and create slide show presentations
  5. Experience with Power BI or Tableau to analyze data
  6. Demonstrated aptitude for coordinating workflows across multiple internal and external orgs
