Role Overview

While prior VAT or tax knowledge is, this position offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to VAT processes and develop new skills over time.


Compliance Cycle Management

  • Plan and oversee activities for upcoming VAT/CESOP compliance cycles.
  • Maintain and update the Master Client List.
  • Assess client readiness for VAT compliance work and initiate required tasks.
  • Issue data requests to clients, monitor submissions for accuracy, and forward to GDS.
  • Monitor the FS VAT Compliance mailbox and allocate tasks as needed.

Client & Internal Coordination

  • Liaise with EMS and CDD teams for PACE/PACE renewal and AML completion.
  • Update GEAR and manage client documentation.
  • Draft and issue client quotes and engagement letters, coordinating with EY offices as required.
  • Handle routine client queries and requests promptly.

Post-Submission Activities

  • Compare ROS receipts against client approvals for accuracy.
  • Issue ROS receipts and manage billing processes.

Business Development Support

  • Assist with fee quotes, proposals, and RFP responses.
  • Support development of VAT marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Coordinate VAT seminars, publications, and social media initiatives.

Team Leadership

  • Potential to act as line manager for a small team (onshore/offshore).

This is a fast-paced, hands-on recruitment role where you will support the end-to-end student recruitment process. You will be empowered to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, focusing on student talent attraction and ensuring an exceptional candidate journey.

In this role, you will collaborate with the wider Student Recruitment team and our business to source and attract university talent for various roles through campus events and career insight days. You will also utilize online social channels such as LinkedIn and Instagram to promote early career opportunities and initiatives.

You will manage the entire recruitment process for student and entry-level applicants for your designated service line, from application to onboarding. This includes coordinating with administrators, onboarding, induction, Talent, and CBS functions to ensure a smooth transition for candidates joining the firm.Maintaining accurate recruitment and hiring data is essential in this role, so attention to detail and comfort with managing large volumes of data will set you up for success.


Your key responsibilities

  • Support the EY Ireland Talent Team, based in our Dublin office, in delivering graduate and undergraduate recruitment programs aligned with the firm's student strategy goals.
  • Use recruitment and hiring data to inform decisions, ensuring comfort with managing large volumes of data.
  • Screening large volumes of applicants while keeping your operations lead up to date on candidate progress
  • Gathering and maintaining onboarding documentation for all new joiners across a multitude of student programmes, ensuring appropriate verification checks are carried out.
  • Assisting with our overall talent attraction strategy through the promotion of open roles via LinkedIn

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Providing clear and regular communication with hiring managers, HR, and new joiners, confidently guiding them through each step. Proactively following up with stakeholders to confirm onboarding steps and timelines.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reporting onboarding metrics to stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with on-shore and off-shore teams to ensure documentation and IT provisioning are in place in a timely matter before the candidate joins. Liaise with the immigration team for visa/work permit cases.
  • Planning and prioritising onboarding tasks using project management skills to ensure timely execution.
  • Organise and facilitate orientation sessions to introduce new hires to EY’s culture, policies, and ways of working.
  • Weekly monitoring of the onboarding process to identify gaps or delays before they escalate.
  • Gathering feedback from new joiners and stakeholders to assess what’s working and what could be improved.
