Your Career

As a Systems Administrator in the ASIC / FPGA team you will interface with engineering teams
regularly to help build and maintain a world-class semiconductor development environment.
You will work with multiple ASIC and FPGA engineering teams as well as IT and Infosec to build
and improve our infrastructure. You have a broad reach of knowledge spanning storage,
virtualization, and compute, and can communicate verbally and in writing effectively.

Your Impact

● Design, build and operate engineering development infrastructure to enable our ASIC
and FPGA engineering teams
● Support and improve the services on which our ASIC/FPGA engineering department
depends
● Engage with engineering teams to ensure they have the infrastructure to enable the
development of first-class ASICs and FPGAs
● Define and improve end-to-end monitoring of systems and applications used by our
ASIC and FPGA engineering teams
● Identify and drive opportunities to improve systems and automation opportunities for
system and service deployment, management, and visibility
● Drive root cause analysis of critical business and production issues
● Work cross-functionally with Engineering teams on operational readiness
● Manage the day-to-day needs and requests from our ASIC and FPGA engineering users
● Perform upgrades to servers and services on a regular basis

Your Experience

● Strong experience administrating production UNIX/Linux environments
● Broad experience supporting and maintaining common Linux/Unix applications and
services, as well as a solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, LDAP, NIS,NFS, AutoFS,
PXE, SNMP, SSH, HTTP/S, and NTP
● Working experience with system orchestration tools (SALT, Chef, Puppet, etc)
● Working experience in monitoring systems (Nagios, ELK, Prometheus, etc)
● BS or MS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent professional experience
● Experience with shell scripting, interpreted, or compiled language such as Bash, Perl,
Ruby, Python, Go, C, or C++
● Experience with common version control software such as Git, CVS, SVN, or Perforce
● Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
● Excellent written and verbal communication, able to collaborate and rally support
● Excellent documentation skills
● Self-disciplined, self-managed, self-motivated and strong sense of ownership, urgency,
and drive

● Passion for automation and monitoring instrumentation in the code
● Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team
● Passionate to learn, understand, and dissect new technology stack quickly on own
● Experience in Atlassian Software desired
● Experience in storage administration desired (SAN & NAS)
● Familiarity with containerization

Compensation Disclosure

The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/commissioned roles) is expected to be between $180000 - $200000/YR. The GITS team is part of Intel's Information Security organization and supports the unique IT Information Security and Compliance requirements for Intel Federal LLC, a subsidiary of Intel that delivers products and/or services to the U.S. Government (USG). As part of the GITS team, you will help us grow our secure solution suite to meet U.S. Government requirements for data safeguarding.Primary duties and responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and harden IT systems (Windows and Linux) in accordance with STIGs, NIST 800-53, and RMF security/compliance standards.
• Deploy and manage security tools such as Nessus, Splunk, and ACAS to support vulnerability management, continuous monitoring, and compliance reporting.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and remediation, validating results through STIG Viewer, SCAP scans, and other compliance tools.
• Perform lifecycle and configuration management, including secure builds, deployments, and patching.
• Monitor and maintain system performance and security, ensuring continuous Authorization to Operate (ATO).
• Collaborate with Information Security teams to assess, analyze, and respond to findings; support audits and inspections as required.
• Develop and maintain documentation, including SOPs, process guides, and IT policies.

The Minimum qualifications are required to be considered for this position. Minimum qualifications listed below would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experience and / orschoolwork/classes/researchor military. The preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates

Minimum Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Active US Government TS Security Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI Security Clearance with Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in the Government Information Technology (IT) and Information Security Industry, -or- a High School Diploma with at least 5+ years of relevant experience in the Government Information Technology (IT) and Information Security Industry.
• 3+ years of experience with NIST 800-53, NIST 800-137, and the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• 3+ years of experience with Windows Operating Systems -or- Linux Operating Systems.
• 3+ years of experience with hardening devices, configuring and managing logging capabilities and performing vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with IT Lifecycle and configuration management, including workstation and server builds, deployments, and patching.
• Experience utilizing tools such as STIG Viewer, SCAP scanners, and manual validation techniques to ensure compliance.
• Experience applying and maintaining information security controls.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active US Government Security Clearance with a Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree.
• DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II or III certification (i.e. Security+, CASP, CISSP), within 6 months of starting the position and an OS specific certification.
• Experience with RMF as it relates to Systems Administration.
• Experience using industry-standard security tools for audit reduction, vulnerability management, and malware detection, including: ACAS, Tenable Nessus, Splunk, SCAP, Compliance Checker, STIG Viewer, EPO, and Trellix.
• Experience with cloud security principles and experience working with cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure) in environments requiring compliance with federal or DoD security standards.

What you will bring:

• 7+ Years of experience administrating M365 and Google Workspace configurations.

• 5+ Years of experience with Slack Enterprise Grid administration and integrations.

• 5+ Years of experience administrating Exchange, Exchange Online, Cisco Cloud Email Security or other email systems and have implemented DMARC, DKIM, SPF, and BIMI.

• 3+ Years of experience administrating Windows and Linux OS.

• 1+ Years of building and implementing AI agents, MCP Servers, and in-product AI enhancements.

• Deep expertise in administering Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Slack Enterprise Grid, with strong skills in platform integrations and automation using PowerShell and Graph API.

• Track record of securing enterprise applications and applying identity and access management principles, including hands-on experience with Exchange Online, Cisco Cloud Email Security, Active Directory, and Entra ID.

• Experience implementing and supporting AI-powered agents and enhancements, and using tools such as PowerAutomate and Google Apps Script.

• Advanced problem-solving capabilities for complex networking and firewall issues, along with knowledge of release management and compliance standards such as CAB, MS Purview, and MS Defender.

• Willingness to participate in 24x7 on-call rotation and ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including non-technical users and global teams.
