- Working with the Research and Development pillar technical leaders to connect and engage with key Government agency sponsors on specific Research and Development topical issues.
- Working across all our targeted Government agency activities, help open doors for Research and Development pillar leads and facilitate identifying the strategic imperatives for each agencies future platform requirements based on their anticipated future challenges, profiles, and concerns. Supporting efforts to attract and realize funding for aligned technology Research and Development where there is a strong overlap between Government agency strategic goals and Intel's strategic Research and Development objectives in partnership with the Research and Development pillar leads.
- Establishing and retaining consistent approaches and methodologies to engage, evaluate, and define the value of Government opportunities based on technical, financial, and strategic factors.
- Enabling novel and creative use of Intel's Foundry services to meet Government mission needs.
- Deploying strategies/processes to increase effectiveness and efficiency across IGT, Intel, and our government partner agencies.
- Developing opportunities to increase Intel technology adoption and transition to Government use-cases, where logical and in the best interests of all parties.
- Share developments and learnings continuously with Research and Development team peers and the broader IGT organization, as appropriate.
- Capturing, logging, and annotating business development activities in Salesforce and other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.
- Enforcing strict Need to Know (NTK) rules to manage information control.
- Mentoring, coaching, and preparing the next generation of technologists to better understand Government sector operations and engagement and resulting impacts to Intel's Research and Development and manufacturing approaches and prepare initial recommendations for a business case to drive solutions.
In addition to the focus on driving adoption and growth of Intel's technology pipeline to meet Government needs, you will partner with other sales and marketing teams across Intel and the Government to drive and maintain a comprehensive view of technical interests. This will include:
- Partnering with Account Executives to ensure one synchronized voice and vision from the Research and Development team across all Government sector activities.
- Identifying adjacent opportunities to current activities for developing new Research and Development programs or transitioning current Research and Development technology into next-generation products.
- Influencing external and internal technology decisions to improve the potential for Intel technology adoption into Government systems, current and future.
- Supporting the development and maintenance of a multi-year optimization strategy spanning all of Intel's technology interests, specifically for Government use-cases.
Lastly, you will engage and support other technical leaders within IGT, the related Sales organization, as well as Global Government Affairs to preposition and help ensure an aligned approach between technology and funding sources.
Responsibilities include:
- Informing Government Affairs lobbying efforts. Informing Sales' collateral development and 'option engineering.
- Recommending approaches to balance and allocate engineering expertise and resources to maximize benefit to Intel and the Government.
- This role requires a collaborative leadership and influencing approach.
- The ideal candidate must be capable of influencing a broad set of internal and external stakeholders across all levels from senior technologist individual contributors to senior executives, both within Intel and across the Government.
- This is a highly cross-functional and matrixed role which requires extensive technical breadth, creativity, and curiosity as well as the ability to understand and appreciate business environments and constraints.
- A keen customer-first mindset to deliver for Intel and the Government is required.
- A strong desire to work in and collaboratively maintain a strongly positive workforce environment is culture is essential to success.
- Candidates must have experience driving cross-organizational projects and strategies, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a good understanding of Intel's technology and/or of the Government's operational needs, with a keen and rapid interest in learning the other.
- Experience working within the Government ecosystem is critical.
- This job has travel expectations.
- You are required to be based out of the Washington, DC Metro area.You will be expected to travel domestically.
- You may also be expected to make international trips periodically. It is not uncommon for this travel to be required on relatively short notice.

1) a recognized degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field that developed that knowledge (and can be tested) which meets one of the requirements below for technical degrees with business acumen; or2) a recognized degree in business or economics area, or a closely related field, and has developed a deep technical knowledge that can be tested through additional coursework, degrees, or experience for non-technical degrees.For non-technical degrees, the minimum qualifications are:
