Job responsibilities
- Facilitates security requirements clarification for multiple networks to enable multi-level security to satisfy organizational needs
- Work with stakeholders and senior business leaders to recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability
- Develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy for security products.
- Define and prioritize product features and enhancements based on customer needs and business goals.
- Collaborate with engineering/SRE teams to deliver high-quality products on time
- Create and maintain a detailed product backlog, ensuring alignment with the overall product and business strategy.
- Lead agile development processes, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Gather and incorporate feedback from stakeholders to continuously improve the product.
- Analyze product performance data to identify areas for improvement and drive product enhancements.
- Ensure that all products comply with industry standards and regulations related to security and data protection.
- Stay informed about the latest security threats and trends to proactively address potential risks.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience.
- Skilled in planning, designing, and implementing enterprise-level security solutions
- Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Extensive experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing
- Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
- Practical cloud native experience
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role in the technology or cybersecurity industry.
- Strong understanding of one of the following: endpoint, virtualization, Infrastructure-as-code, hardware security concepts and technologies.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, JIRA).
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
