Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a global team of pricing analysts and managers, supporting deal pricing across Inside Sales and Channel Partner segments.
- Serve as the primary representative for SMB Pricing, partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Commercialization, Revenue Operations, and Finance to align pricing strategies with business goals.
- Own the pricing strategy for SMB monetization efforts, including packaging and discounting frameworks that support growth, profitability, and market competitiveness.
- Provide strategic deal pricing support for key account negotiations, ensuring deals align with profitability targets and pricing policies.
- Develop and scale pricing processes, tools, and governance frameworks that support efficient and consistent deal execution.
- Drive data-backed recommendations through pricing analysis and competitive benchmarking, ensuring alignment with evolving market and product dynamics.
- Collaborate with Product, Pricing Strategy and Go-to-Market teams to ensure new offerings and pricing models reflect the economics of PayPal’s various offerings.
- Partner closely with RevOps to optimize the deal approval process and escalation framework for SMB and Channel Partner motions.
Required Skills & Experience- 8+ years of experience in pricing, deal strategy, or pricing strategy, preferably in fintech or payments.
- Proven experience in B2B pricing and supporting Inside Sales or Channel Partner sales teams at scale.
- Strong understanding of payments economics, including interchange, acquiring, and processor dynamics.
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership through clear communication and commercial acumen.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate for pricing principles while balancing strategic and financial trade-offs.
- Ability to build relationships and consult internal stakeholder groups to identify win-win solutions for PayPal and our merchants / channel partners.
- Experience building or leading global teams and deal pricing in high-growth or transformation environments.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with the ability to translate insights into business recommendations.
- Familiarity with commercial terms, margin drivers, and deal structuring in the context of payment services.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of representing pricing in both strategic planning and deal execution forums.
Preferred Qualifications- Direct experience working in payment services or merchant acquiring, ideally with knowledge of pricing levers in SMB environments.
- Experience implementing or scaling pricing governance frameworks and approval workflows.
- Exposure to partner/channel ecosystems and understanding of the associated commercial dynamics.
- Familiarity with pricing and revenue management tools (e.g. CPQ, pricing engines, financial modeling platforms).
- Experience operating in global teams and navigating region-specific pricing and commercial considerations.
