As an Impact Finance Manager in Credit Solutions team, you will guide deal teams on the origination and portfolio management of credit transactions and act as a relationship manager for counterparties. Counterparties and structures include debt to CDFIs, credit funds or structured finance opportunities. You will play a key role in identifying expansion opportunities for the team including: developing strategy and market landscaping, navigating internal approval processes, and working across the organization to drive implementation of new lending activity.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive transaction sourcing, evaluation, and portfolio management, which includes serving as a relationship manager and primary point of contact with prospective borrowers, leading due diligence and structuring process, and preparing materials for, and leading presentations to the Impact Finance & Advisory Loan Committee
- Lead portfolio management processes for originated transactions and a portion of the team’s existing portfolio of loans, including periodic due diligence, reporting, and valuation updates; present to appropriate Valuation and Portfolio Management Forums
- Guide and coach junior team members on deal management processes, client relationship management, financing and structuring considerations, and performance development
- In partnership with Head of Credit Solutions, assist in advancement of Credit Solutions team agenda including strategy development and people initiatives
- Support development and implementation of expansion efforts of credit opportunities, serve as a leader in market scoping and assessment, and develop materials to articulate product objectives, strategies, risks and controls, and implementation roadmap
- Partner across the Firm: work with subject matter experts from Corporate Responsibility to incorporate insights, and work with LOBs to align offerings and partner where appropriate
- Market development and thought leadership: engage with key partners to advance market development and scaling; where required, represent JPMorganChase and the work of Corporate Responsibility at client events, conferences, industry convenings and other external events
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES AND SKILLS:
- A demonstrated passion for social enterprise, community development, development finance and/or impact investing
- More than 9 years of client-facing and transaction experience in community development banking, corporate finance, investment banking, or lending
- Experience directly managing a team
- Ability to navigate and influence a highly-matrixed organization
- Ability to independently formulate business strategy, construct compelling narratives, and present to senior executives
- Strong presentation skills, able to present complex opportunities plainly and succinctly
