About the role:

As part of the Maple Grove Process Development team, this position’s primary responsibilities include leading a team of process engineers and technicians in advancing new products, processes, and technologies across one or more divisions. You will oversee the development and management of the resources and processes required to ensure functional excellence and delivery of robust, scalable, high-quality manufacturing processes to divisional and operations customers. You will be tasked with building, developing, and empowering a strong team capable of fulfilling multi-project and multi-customer needs for the business.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead teams in the achievement of organizational goals. Guide, coach, direct, and develop direct reports.
  • Lead engineering teams to develop highly capable, scalable, and robust manufacturing processes, and successfully transfer into operations. Collaborate with R&D and Manufacturing teams to create innovative and manufacturable product designs.
  • Ensure knowledge driven approach to process & product development, and that functional excellence is exhibited in all product and technology development projects.
  • Recruit, coach, develop organizational talent.

  • Foster a diverse workplace that enables all participants to contribute to their full potential in pursuit of organizational objectives.
  • Keep the organization's vision and values at the forefront of decision making and action.

  • Ensure compliance to company policies & procedures, and regulatory compliance to GMP’s of all medical device regulatory agencies (e.g. FDA, BSI, ISO, EEO, MDR).
  • Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure all employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline and 7+ years related work experience; or Master’s degree 5+ Years of related experience.
  • 3+ years’ experience as a leader of technical people.
  • Demonstrated cross functional collaboration in technically demanding environment.
  • Experience providing guidance to and training engineering teams associated within development projects, motivate individuals to achieve results, and drive objectives to completion while maintaining a strong working environment

Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MBA / MS)
  • Team oriented approach to projects that drives collaboration & execution across the business.
  • Experience leading teams in developing and transferring manufacturing processes and/or production lines throughout a global network.
  • Track record of developing new technologies and processes that excite customers.
  • Working knowledge of BSC therapies and products.
  • Vision to see what technologies are going to be needed in the future and ability to get them started with little oversight or guidance.
  • Experience leading teams throughout a product life cycle from exploratory to commercialization and end of life.
