In this role, you will:
Own the accurate and timely billing of approximately $900M of customer billings for 2024
Lead individuals to ensure we meet monthly, quarterly and annual Billing KPIs
Provide technical support with a customer service mindset to customer billing inquiries
Ensure Sales Orders are processed timely and accurately in accordance with executed contracts, including confirming validity and accuracy of associated billing
Meet monthly & quarterly close calendar deadlines to ensure all billing is processed in a timely manner
Foster a continuous improvement mindset: automate the manual elements of the customer invoicing process
Investigate transaction history and other support activities ensuring the related adjustments are supported with appropriate documentation and approval
Analyze and resolve billing and pricing discrepancies while providing timely communication and documented support to both customers and internal stakeholders
Setup, manage, and troubleshoot multiple customer portals for invoice submissions
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support the order-to-cash process
Perform complex reconciliations with the Amazon Web Services partner account
Act as the subject matter expert all billing related items
Support Audit Requests
Manage all billing related Freshdesk tickets and independently solve customer inquiries with a positive customer service approach
Build relationships with Sales, Customer Success and Support teams to propose solutions in a timely fashion and make recommendations to continually improve the billing processes
Drive various initiatives that use discretion to propose improvements to work practices and processes in an effort to achieve results or improve efficiency such as system improvements, international expansion and the adoption of new accounting guidance
Assist with special projects as needed by Management
The skills you’ll bring include:
BA/ BS in Accounting or Finance degree from 4 year college or university or equivalent experience preferred
3+ years of billing expertise with an analytical mindset through job-related training and hands on experience
Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail
Intellectual curiosity to problem-solve customer billing and related accounting issues
Strong commitment to working with a team, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining professionalism is required
Effective and decisive under pressure
Independent/flexible problem-solver with ability to positively cope with change
Advanced Excel skills
Strong organizational skills, concise documentation skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
