Associate- Finance Risk Management (Hybrid)

The associate will play a performing role in facilitating and managing key Stress Testing and Capital-related functions to ensure the Compliance Management Program and Risk Management Framework is well-managed and sustainable. This position will also require interactions with a variety of stakeholders and subject matter experts across Finance and Risk Management organizations, and at times, may support the broader FRM team via related governance activities and specialty projects. The preferred candidate should be action oriented, effective at problem solving, and have strong communication skills.

General Responsibilities:

  • Provide risk advisory support aligned with Capital One's Capital-related functions

  • Manage day-to-day activities to ensure our Compliance Management Program framework is well-managed and sustainable (e.g. Change Management, Issue Management, etc.)

  • Execute processes and program deliverables that support internal team governance processes (e.g. Process and Control Documentation (PCD), CCAR Model and Computation and Automation (C/A) Inventory Process, Control Evidence Collection, Assertions/Attestations)

  • Assist with tasks and activities related to risk management initiatives (e.g. Control Remediation, Business Continuity Management (BCM), Process Level Assessments (PLA),)

  • Identify and drive process improvements within Finance’s operational risk management programs

  • Ability to work independently with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience

  • At least 1 year of experience in Finance, Business Process Management, Project Management, or Risk Management

  • At least 1 year of experience with G Suite or Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience

  • 2+ years of experience working in the financial industry

  • 2+ years of experience in Finance, Risk Management, and/or Issue Management

  • 2+ years of experience in process or project management

  • Ability to work independently and be flexible to change in a fast-paced environment that requires the balancing of competing priorities, deliver accurate results, and adhering to tight deadlines

  • Strong written and verbal communication

This role is hybrid meaning associates typically spend 3+ days per week (Monday - Thursday) in-person at one of our offices listed on this job posting. Fridays are enterprise-wide virtual work days.

McLean, VA: $92,800 - $105,900 for Analyst, Capital Markets & Risk Richmond, VA: $84,400 - $96,300 for Analyst, Capital Markets & RiskThis role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
