Who You Are:
You will collaborate closely with various capability leaders, product development teams, and business units to ensure the stability and reliability of Boston Scientific’s digital and AI systems. You will oversee end-to-end quality assurance processes, and manage CI/CD pipelines, service management, and automated testing solutions to ensure all applications meet regulatory standards and business requirements. By implementing best practices in quality, you will ensure that our digital platforms, including AI systems, are robust, reliable, and ready for market demands. This role involves working cross-functionally to facilitate smooth releases while adhering to industry standards (HIPAA, GDPR, PDPA), effectively managing the intersection of innovation and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio and Release Management
- Oversee the digital and AI product portfolio, ensuring all releases comply with quality and regulatory standards
- Manage release cycles, aligning them with business goals and coordinating cross-functional teams for seamless deployments
- Maintain a strategic view of the QA roadmap to ensure continuous alignment between development, quality, and business stakeholders
- CI/CD and Automated Testing
- Lead the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks for digital and AI applications, ensuring robustness and scalability
- Optimize CI/CD pipelines for smooth integration of new features and releases, guaranteeing stability across all environments
- Embed automated testing as a core component of the CI/CD process for early defect detection and resolution
- Change and Service Management
- Manage change processes in compliance with Boston Scientific’s internal policies and healthcare regulations
- Ensure well-documented change approval processes, minimizing deployment and upgrade risks
- Collaborate with product management to ensure continuous system availability and stability, proactively addressing potential issues
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure all QA processes and digital systems adhere to healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, GDPR, PDPA, and other global standards
- Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to implement data governance protocols for secure handling of sensitive healthcare data
- Work closely with Regulatory and Compliance teams to confirm all applications and releases meet global standards for medical devices and digital health platforms
- Identify production environment risks proactively, implementing mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity
- Quality Leadership in Digital & AI Initiatives
- Lead QA efforts for AI-driven systems and digital health applications, ensuring compliance and performance standards are met
- Collaborate with AI and digital transformation teams to integrate quality standards into new digital health solutions, emphasizing user experience and operational excellence
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging AI and data analytics to enhance testing and monitoring systems
- Team Development & Agile Leadership
- Cultivate a high-performance culture by mentoring and developing a team of QA engineers, testers, and analysts
- Champion the adoption of Agile methodologies, ensuring QA integration into the broader Agile development process
- Lead iterative testing practices, embedding quality into every stage of the development lifecycle, from planning to release
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in solution architecture, with significant expertise in data engineering, integration strategies, and AI
- At least 10 years in a leadership role, managing teams of data engineers and business analysts
- Proven experience in the healthcare or medical device industry is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of data integration, AI solutions, big data platforms, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Expertise in healthcare regulations and compliance standards, including HIPAA, GDPR, and PDPA
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams in building data strategies that drive digital transformation within the medical device sector
- Strong organizational and influencing skills, with the ability to educate cross-functional teams on technology capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to balance complex technical requirements with business goals and regulatory frameworks
- Solution-oriented mindset with a history of tackling complex challenges and delivering impactful solutions
- Strong adaptability to changing business conditions while proactively driving projects to completion
- Proven ability to collaborate closely with global architecture design organizations
- Experience participating in global architecture communities and aligning implementation strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or in a related field
- Experience in digital health platforms, healthcare data management, and collaboration with medical device companies
- Expertise in leading large-scale integration projects focusing on regulatory compliance and innovation in medical technology
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI
- Ability to analyse raw data to derive actionable insights for optimizing digital solutions
- Strong understanding of user experience, digital platforms, and content strategy within the healthcare context
