- Shape and execute the strategic direction of solutions architecture within the Global Commercial A.I. Centre of Excellence and Commercial IT, ensuring alignment with global commercial objectives and digital transformation initiatives
- Be an active participant in the global architecture community and collaborate on globally aligned implementation strategies
- Develop and implement solutions architecture strategies that support the company’s digital commercial goals, integrating AI, mobile, and web applications to improve organizational efficiency and effectiveness
- Influence global and regional technology strategies by collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring that architectural solutions meet company growth targets and align with digital health initiatives
- Data Hub & Integration Strategy:
- Lead the design and execution of a scalable integration strategy for the digital ecosystem data hub, ensuring data accessibility and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, GDPR, and PDPA
- Architect a data infrastructure that supports real-time, data-driven insights for the commercial organization, enhancing decision-making capabilities in partnership with data architect/s
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Establish strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders, including product, regulatory, and commercial teams, to ensure that data and system architectures meet business needs and comply with industry regulations.
- Serve as a key voice in leadership discussions, contributing architectural expertise to shape both regional and global decisions
2. Operational Excellence in Solutions Architecture
- System Integration & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to healthcare data privacy standards and establish best practices for data governance and secure handling of sensitive physician, patient, and device data.
- Facilitate the adoption of architectural best practices across the region, ensuring smooth integration with existing and future systems and processes
- Collaboration with Global AI COE Network:
- Partner closely with the Global AI COE network to incorporate AI-driven tools and solutions into the architecture, optimizing performance and providing data-driven insights.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration between IT, sales, marketing, and commercial teams to ensure seamless integration of AI initiatives across the organization
3. Digital Expertise & Transformational Innovation (AI)
- AI & Data-Driven Solutions:
- Lead the design and architecture of commercial IT solutions to achieve a seamless experience for end users
- Partner with Data Lead and co-lead the integration of advanced AI and machine learning technologies into the solutions architecture, focusing on predictive analytics for demand realization, business performance, and future clinical operations
- Identify areas for improvement to use AI-driven tools to unlock new opportunities for personalized customer experiences and operational excellence
- Innovation in Medical Technology:
- Stay ahead of digital transformation trends, proactively exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance the overall effectiveness of the digital ecosystem
- Spearhead initiatives to scale data systems across multiple platforms, integrating real-time device data and AI insights to support product innovation and enhance the digital healthcare experience
- Team Development in AI/ML Trends:
- Ensure the team is equipped with the skills and tools needed to integrate AI and machine learning trends into practical solutions
- Benchmark the organization’s architectural practices against industry best practices to implement refinements that drive a best-in-class competitive advantage
4. Leadership & Tactical Management
- :
- Provide strategic leadership to the architecture team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence
- Partner with other region and local IT teams to foster deep collaboration
- Oversee and manage a digital capability team with roles including:
- Commercial Business Analysts
- Data Hub Engineers
- Technical Solutions Analysts
- Act as a mentor and coach to direct reports, cultivating their professional development and fostering a high-performance team culture
- Strategic Decision-Making:
- Make informed decisions on architectural initiatives, integrating AI insights, financial metrics, and market conditions to maximize impact
- Develop policies, procedures, and performance metrics that guide the solutions architecture function in achieving operational efficiency and effectiveness
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in solutions architecture, with significant experience in data engineering, integration strategies, and AI
- At least 10 years in a leadership or managerial role, managing data engineers and business analysts
- Proven experience within the healthcare or medical device industry is highly desirable
- Deep understanding of enterprise software design/architecture, data integration, AI-driven solutions, big data platforms, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Expertise in healthcare regulations and compliance standards, including HIPAA, GDPR, and PDPA
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in building data strategies that drive digital transformation within the medical device sector
- Strong organizational influencing skills, including the ability to educate cross-functional teams on technology-focused capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Balanced judgment of solutions architecture under competing views/priorities
- Ability to balance complex technical requirements with business goals and regulatory frameworks
- Solution-oriented with a proven track record of addressing complex challenges and delivering impactful solutions

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI
- Ability to work with raw data to draw actionable insights and recommendations for the optimization of digital solutions
