Today
APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Review and develop the design for manufacturing (DFM) for pending new systems with system intergrators for compliance to inspection requirements in lighting, camera, resolution, algorithm, images, models, and automation/part handling efficiencies. Review qualification data from existing systems and approve if requirements are met, including GRR, correlation, overkill, and escape. Summarize machines systems designs from multiple vendors and make technical and commercial comparisons and recommendation to cross-functional teams for down select and procurement. Review and communicate project status, failure analysis reports, and other schedule issues or risks with region contractor manufacturers and system intergrators/vendors. Evaluate different technologies to determine the best system in production. Develop advanced algorithms for data analysis for FACA. Ability to use machine vision software like HALCON, Visionpro, COGNEX, to review images of parts and develop algorithm to detect defect or part edge for characterization or ability to review intergrator algorithm for issues or optimization to capture. International travel required 30%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $151,200 - $227,600/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
