The position is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department; establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods, polices and principles.

How you’ll spend your day

• Carry out accounting responsibilities in accordance with GAAP, the Company’s policies and procedures.
• Research technical accounting topics and provide guidance to ensure correct accounting treatments/reporting.
• Identify, measure, and manage risks that could impact the company’s financial, ensuring that SOX controls are in place.
• Responsible for the bad debt allowance policy and calculation.
• Define team operating standards and ensure internal controls and procedures are implemented and followed.
• Develop and manage cash flow model for projections, budget and reporting.
• Manage the monthly financial close process; ensuring all revenue and expenses are properly recorded, reviewing account balances and preparing monthly financial reporting package.
• Collaborate with external auditors and manage the team’s priority and effort to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
• Work with Corporate teams (Accounting, Audit, Tax, Treasury) for financial, statutory, and tax reporting.
• Focus on improving system efficiencies, processes, and implementing best practices.
• Analyze and monitor GPO’s financial statements for accuracy and evaluate the opportunities and/or impacts on Anda.
• Manage the Vertex system (used for sales tax) as a business owner, responsible for reconciliation, accounting, and reporting.


Your experience and qualifications

Any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience that fulfills the requirements of the position will be considered.

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting and/or auditing experience
• Minimum 3 years at the manager level
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Must have experience with SOX controls and compliance
• CPA or Master’s in Accounting preferred
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Pharmaceutical or similar industry experience preferred
• Experience in system and process improvements

• Excellent project management, planning skills and strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast- paced environment
• Ability to work cross functionally and build relationships
