Required/Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field AND 2+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of public sector contracting experience
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field or related field AND 5+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience
    • ORMaster's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Marketing, or related field AND 3+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Contract management experience with United States Federal or State and Local Government preferred.
  • Software/Cloud services industry, consulting, and support experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated decision-making and critical thinking skills in a cross-functional environment.
  • Proficient interpersonal, verbal, oral and written communication ability, adaptable to engagements with all levels of an organization.
  • Proven complex negotiation skills.
  • Thoughtful risk-taking, with a demonstrated growth mindset and curiosity to learn independently.

Responsibilities
  • Make empowered decisions on customer agreements using business judgment and licensing principles.
  • Work with customers to negotiate pricing, licensing terms, and deal conditions necessary to sign agreements.
  • Collaborate with sales, legal, finance, and other business groups to design winning offers and deal constructs.
  • Ensure negotiation strategies for services adhere to established principles and standards and help adapt those principles to the evolving technology marketplace.
  • Share best practices and strategies with internal teams to improve Microsoft’s sales capabilities
