As part of the Risk Data and Technology transformation team of the Enterprise Risk Management function, you will be part of a team responsible to: Establish, maintain, and communicate the Enterprise Risk Data and Tech transformation Management data strategy; Create and deliver technology implementation roadmaps, ensuring that both business and regulatory requirements are met; and Drive implementation and adoption of consistent data management standards and capabilities to support the Enterprise Risk Management Framework adoption across the enterprise and relevant businesses / functions / regions.
About the role
The role will support the Group Manager in the team’s mission to Establish, maintain, and communicate the Enterprise Risk Data and Tech transformation Management data strategy; Create and deliver technology implementation roadmaps, ensuring that both business and regulatory requirements are met; and Drive implementation and adoption of consistent data management standards and capabilities to support the Enterprise Risk Management Framework adoption across the enterprise and relevant businesses / functions / regions.
A deep understanding of risk processes and reports, product processing within the financial services industry and data management is essential. This position requires a thorough understanding of the strategic direction of the Risk function, combined with a solid conceptual/practical grounding in the risk reporting function. Excellent communication skills are required to negotiate internally, often at a senior level.
The role will actively apply a range of problem solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. In addition, this role requires ability to facilitate engagement and communication between the Execution team, Product Leads and other key stakeholders (i.e., report and process owners, Technology partners) and will work closely with the Enterprise Chief Data Office (ECDO).
This role requires a thorough understanding of enterprise data governance concepts combined with practical experience of implementing them in a complex organization. Excellent communication skills are required to influence and advise senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Liaise with senior stakeholders across Lines of Business and Functions to design and execute against Transformation plan commitments, drive alignment on execution steps and timing, and/or support adoption of enterprise approaches and guidelines for use by the Use Cases teams
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure clear cross-functional communications and set expectations, and to drive effective and efficient design, build, and rollout of data practices, capabilities, and tools
- Provide guidance and advice with stakeholders across lines of business, regions and functions (e.g., sharing best practices, educating on consistent approaches, helping with interpretation of enterprise guidance)
- Analyze and identify overlapping initiatives to resolve duplication of efforts
- Monitor and communicate progress of the plan, anticipate risks and issues, and challenge execution teams’ plans to identify roadblocks, and dependencies
- Allocate Execution resources to Loan Book & Retail Product Leads to support execution of active Regulatory Business Critical Milestones (RBCMs) and ensure support for on-time completion of Regulatory Business Critical Milestones and production of high-quality work products.
- Partner with Loan Book & Retail Product Leads and PMO resources to ensure RBCMs remain on track to plan; document and escalate any risks to successful on-time completion of milestones.
- Partner with accountable Product leads to provide execution resource support as needed to support the data quality issue management process for each Risk stripe
- Provide support to the Group Manager as needed to partner with ERM, DART and Risk accountable management, Finance and ICG/PBWM on execution of the Consent Order Risk use cases
- Responsible for ensuring that Use Case Execution is efficient, effective, and that the artifacts align to Citi data governance policy.
- Responsible for ensuring consistency of execution of Use Case artifacts across all RBCMs and that all artifacts are documented appropriately in the ECDO formats. Ensure all artifacts are well organized and readily available in Teams. Partner with Product Leads to ensure final, ap‐proved artifacts are maintained in a secure location for Audit purposes.
- Responsible for partnering with Use Case Execution Governance Lead to ensure execution methodology and all work products are consistent across all Risk Use Cases
- Partner with Use Case Execution Governance Lead to ensure adherence to latest ECDO Use Case Guidelines
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in a complex, financial organization, with a particular focus in Data Governance
- Expertise in one or more the following core financial services segments preferred: consumer businesses, commercial businesses, capital markets, finance, risk, or compliance
- Demonstrates consistent track record of having worked as a Program or Project Manager, or working on large, strategic cross-functional projects
- Data and technological knowledge, covering recent topics such as Data governance and Operating models
- Strategic mindset, who can see ahead to future possibilities and translate them into breakthrough strategies
- Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels
- Can effectively lead change in an organization with Citigroup’s size, scale and complexity;Experience leveraging the processes and principles of change management to drive organizational change, defining change criteria, providing support and education, managing resistance, and measuring outcomes
- Manages through ambiguity by making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
- Understanding of the overall regulatory environment and previous experience working with regulators on data plan execution, preferred
- Knowledge of risk reporting and processes and under‐standing of risk stripes is essential
- Financial service industry acumen and experience to lead large cross-functional initiatives
- Understanding of data governance, management, and data capabilities needed for a robust data program in support of business objectives.
- Knowledgeable in risk platforms, architecture, and technology in banking.
- Experience in risk data, financial platform implementations and managing risk systems.

- Working knowledge of Citi’s Data Operating Model
