What You’ll Do
  • Conduct studies for development of audio tests on the production line to ensure build quality
  • Implement software and algorithm for audio system tests on the production line
  • Track changes in the factory and collaborate with factory teams to improve first pass yield
  • Optimize and improve tests for accuracy and reducing test takt time
  • Validate changes to audio hardware, DSP algorithms, and software for impact on factory test
  • Validate factory test development on representative hardware and contexts
  • Develop and track metrics across production to improve manufacturing processes
  • Drive cross-functional efforts between design, manufacturing, and supplier teams in software, electrical, and mechanical domains to address audio quality issues in production
  • Build test setups for audio hardware, interfacing with the device under test via digital, analog, and acoustic I/O
  • Develop test scripts to automate audio testing on the product hardware
What You’ll Bring
  • Understanding of audio test equipment and metrics: Audio Precision, SoundCheck, etc.
  • Ability to interface with audio hardware via TDM, I2S, A2B, AVB, analog, etc.
  • Ability to work with embedded processors and tools, e.g. embedded ARM or DSP
  • Experience with Linux audio stack and tools
  • Ability to script tasks in Bash, Python and C/C++
  • Ability to work with Splunk and extract information from production logs efficiently
  • Understanding of revision control software (SVN, GIT, etc.)
  • Demonstrable experience solving difficult QA problems (scalability, reliability, reporting, parallelization, etc.)
  • Experience and understanding of physical acoustics, mechanical integration, and manufacturing
  • Valid driver's license required to drive passenger vehicles in the US for in vehicle testing
