Primary duties include: qualifying best in class audio silicon, system board schematic design and layout, prototype bring up and debugging, production manufacturing and test support, hardware debug, functional and performance verification, SW/FW verification and signal characterization.The qualified applicant will possess sound EE fundamentals with a focus on analog and solid grounding on digital electronics. The applicant will be familiar with the audio design of portable low-power products, preferably with experience in a consumer electronics environment dealing with high-volume and high-quality products. Additionally, the preferred applicant will have some audio engineering experience with fundamental knowledge of signals and systems.
- 5+ years of experience as an audio/analog electrical systems engineer
- Experience in designing in a fast paced high volume consumer electronics environment
- Phenomenal teammate - able to work with non-audio team members who are unfamiliar with acoustic designs
- Most of our engineers have advanced degrees in Electrical Engineering, Acoustics or an equivalent field, but if you’ve followed a different path to expertise in audio / EE / acoustics we still want to hear from you!
- Knowledge in silicon design and manufacturing (power supply, audio circuit design, amplifiers)
- Expertise in prototyping circuits and products in a lab
- Basic scripting for test automation and data analysis and visualization for reporting.
- Experience with Microphone ASIC technologies
- Hands-on experience in designing, validating, or failure analysis of electro-mechanical systems. Experience with acoustic transducers (micro-speakers, receivers, MEMS microphones) will be highly useful.
- Familiarity with sensing technologies and relevant electrical interfaces such as: PDM, differential analog, I2C, TDM
- Knowledge in SW drivers, DSP preferred
- Experience with Audio Precision and audio analyses tools
