You will contribute to the quality and testing of Apple AirPods products. You will work with peer groups to understand the needs, challenges and existing tools and be involved in defining and updating team test plans, test cases, processes and procedures. In this position you will need to be a self-starter with excellent communications skills, both verbal & written and have an attention to detail. In this role, you'll need to work well both on a team, and on your own. And at times lead your test areas which will require the presentation and communications of testing progress, issues found, and champion the improved quality of your areas. The fast-paced nature of the job requires someone who can work well under pressure and can quickly adapt to new technologies into effective audio testing. We are seeking someone who is intensely curious yet focused on delivering results in a timely manner. Having eye’s, ear’s and passion for user focused quality is required.
  • 5+ years experience in audio test engineering
  • Advanced understanding of macOS and iOS platforms is a must
  • Expertise in Audio Testing, isolating issues, devising test plans, driving to specifications
  • Familiarity with real-time audio handling (sample rates, buffering, PCM, drivers, etc.)
  • Understanding and ability to use Python and command line interfaces
  • Knowledge of Apple software developer tools (Xcode, Objective-C)
  • A foundational understanding of electronics, audio technology, and recording studios
  • Musicians & Audiophiles welcome
  • Experience with FPGAs, development boards preferred
  • Audio DSP experience is preferred
  • BS/BA in Computer Science, Audio Engineering or Music Technology
