We are looking for an experienced Data Product Manager to work in our Central Data Product team within the Ads Platform division. As a Data Product Manager, you will be the primary point of contact between the Unity Data Platform and the data producers (both internal and external). You will help them understand how to onboard onto the platform, let them know if/where there are problems, and provide updates about changes in data flow, data quality and other data governance changes. You will be responsible for finding ways to leverage data flow throughout an entire product lifecycle and use that data to build and perfect a feature or product. You will be responsible to balance the strategy, governance, and implementation of anything data-related, and facilitate the conversations between all impacted stakeholders (executives, engineers, analysts, other product teams and other data consumers)
What you'll be doing
  • Onboarding of new data producers in different environments (BigQuery, Presto, Redshift, etc)
  • Build and maintain relationship with the data producers for updates/changes in the data processes
  • Translate requirements of large data initiatives into smaller actionable items
  • Build and Prioritize roadmaps
  • Communicate timelines to organization
  • Increase data accessibility (surface data where people need it when they need it)
  • Deeply understand all producers’ data, and liaise with the rest of the Central Data Product team to find new ways to leverage the data or ways to add more data that would benefit data consumers
What we're looking for
  • Experience in a relevant data field, preferably as a Data Product Manager working with big data
  • Strong leadership, organizational and execution skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Strong analytical and technical knowledge
  • Knowledge and hands-on SQL experience
  • Passion for solving complex technical issues with an understanding of how great products work behind the scenes
  • Self motivated and results focused
  • Understanding of data management principles
  • Understanding complex systems and working with very technical colleagues

Gross pay salary$165,800—$199,813 USD
